So you all know me as the die hard UC fan (rightfully so) but I just really felt the need to spread some MGS love :').

I fucking love the Metal Gear Solid series and it is the reason I am here on these forums ever since MGS4 took away my virginity from just randomly playing games.

Now let's all bow down our heads and listen to this wonderful theme as we think of two of the most iconic characters this industry has ever seen.

I know we all like a good auto-play video to express our excitement once in a while (i got hit for it last e3, i think), but it is rather annoying to many, so i have removed it.

It's a pretty cool Youtube series, I'll agree. Although I completely lost track of what was happening in the last half of MGS2, especially the last 1/4. To me, the series is known for having overly complex stories, but I suppose that adds to the replay value!

I instantly got the rest and played through them but I sat months before hand and read up on the story going through wiki's and all that jazz. I got MOST of it but playing it after playing the rest: There's still a lot I could've gotten which blows my mind knowing how much I loved it then and just how much I love it now :P

My PS3 broke before I got to update MGS4 so I haven't pltinumed it yet but I got Big Boss Rank even when this game had no trophies. That is how much I loved this game.

This series are beyond important to me. I can say with confidence that the means with which I am right here writing in English is thanks to this game. I learned English with MGS in the PSOne. I barely new some words and I still played this game, over, and over, and over again. I think I replayed MGS more than 21 times. How can you not end up learning another language by playing a game with so much dialogue through cut-scenes and codect conversations and by being exposed to that same dialogue so many times. lol

The games are brilliant. I have much respect for Hideo and I actually don't give a fuck about what his detractors say. I think Kojima is the Shakespear of fucking videogames and if you don't agree... you may actually have a different opinion to mine.

I still need to play Peace Walker and Rising, but I will some day. :D

I love it too but I think you shouldn't spoil it to other people, let them experience it for themselves. Add a warning or something in the title :P
