Thatgamecompany’s Journey has claimed the Game of the Year and five other accolades at the Game Developers Choice Awards.

The Walking Dead, Far Cry 3, Dishonored, The Room and FTL: Faster Than Light managed to pick up awards in the categories Journey didn’t win, and there was personal recognition for Steve Russell, Chris Melissinos and doctors Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk. The full list of winners is below.

Cart Life gets grand prize at the IGF Awards @ GDC 2013

The Independent Games Festival has crowned Richard Hofmeier’s Cart Life as its game of the year at its 2013 awards show.

It claimed three awards in total – the Seumas McNally Grand Prize, the Nuovo Award and Excellence in Narrative.

Subset Games’ FTL: Faster Than Light claimed two prizes at the IGF Awards, with Kentucky Route Zero and Little Inferno also scooping major prizes. The full list is as follows:

Good, Journey was the best game released last year. I'm tired of the walking dead winning everything because it gave people feels.
