Forums - Nintendo - Is it alarming that my local Walmart does not have any of the new Wii U games?

In case you think I am lying. Bloomingdale, Illinois Walmart. Look it up and call them if you think I am lying or something.

No Lego, Walking dead, Croods,Spiderman, NFS, or anything else.

Is it too late? Retailers already lost interest? Or what is happening now? A whole new problem...

If it is only in YOUR local Walmart, it is not alarming. If it happens in a few locations it can be a PR problem. If it is widespread it is alarming AND a problem for Nintendo. But is seems is a localized issue right now, as your own working place seems to be fine according to your information.

I don't shop at walmart myself but my friend just preordered the premium edition of bioshock infinite from the walmart near his uni since all the gamestops around there were sold out. We were both shocked to hear that Walmart was carrying the premium edition.

As a Walmart employee, it has more to do with the department manager over electronics than giving up on the Wii U. The store I work at has most of the new games and the females over eletronics are terrible at knowing eletronic devices. Why we would have females over electronics is beyond me.

Nintendo DID NOT brought the Big Guns yet, just relax and wait, it will sell soon enough.

Well it outsold the 3DS this week. You should tell them to sort it out Spurge!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

My local Walmarts appear to have those games in stock mostly. A couple stores were out on select games, but I'm thinking this is more of just selling out on the few copies they likely ordered vs anything else.

I read an article recently that Wal-Mart is seeing a rash of problems lately, one of them being understaffed and shelves not being filled.

It probably has more to do with Wal-Mart sucking than anything else.
