Forums - Nintendo - Is it alarming that my local Walmart does not have any of the new Wii U games?

What games do they have?

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

who cares, Walmart hate nintendo anyway, people don't buy game from retailers anymore it's all about digital baby

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Just a Wallmart... Not something really special.

No. It is alarming, though, that Walmart lies about their stores having Stock for a certain game, yet when you go in there... they don't know what you're talking about. Then they tell you to check out GameStop.

Walmart isn't a shining beacon of business, anyhow. (Plus, all three of the Walmart's that I went to to try to find that game had huge displays for the Wii U. So maybe your's just hasn't picked up a shipment recently. )

Weird, walmart usually has most things gamestop would.

walmart isn't exactly known for carrying every game, just the blockbusters. same as target. you have to go to best buy or gamestop to get the smaller games.

walmart usually has the games gamestop has?? HA, either that is a lie or their is some special Walmart out there. Try getting some like Atelier series or bit.trip(for Wii) and i dare someone to find it. Who buys games at Walmare anyway/

I et most of my games at walmart as they are open 24 hours. they usually have a fairly good selection of current games too(at least 30-50 for each system). All of the wal amrts around here are "super centers" though if that makes a difference (like 2-4 times the size of a normal walmart)

Welcome to the vita-side.

That's the benefit of having everything digital though, you don't have to rely on fickle retailers.

Well, considering this same exact evidence was used for PSV doom... then yes its very alarming...

however the reality is retailers hire random people that dont shit about what they are selling. Would you go up to the walmart employee at the register and ask them about the new games or the guy stocking food? probably not even though they are the same people.

Also, walmart is known for its shitty employee out put and they hardly have enough people working compared to the amount of business they have. The game could simply be sitting in the back ready to bee stocked
