Oh that's nice to hear although it's kinda obvious because Ubisoft already shown a gameplay trailer and the release window.

Launch window and actual Launch games are different, no matter what you may think.


Launch title = Comes out day and date with the console.

Launch Window = comes out sometime within the first 3-6 months of the consoles launch. Maybe later if Delays happen.

 

 

InFamous: Second Son is not a launch game. Sony has NEVER announced it as such. You are going off 1 guys resume out of a team of 100 people. The developer was just trying to make his resume look good. He might not even know himself when the game will be released.... really only SCEA and the higher-ups at Sucker Punch can decide that.

I'm wondering if that dynamic weather system and puddle system will have any gameplay effects? Rain would certainly mess with fire and puddles would really mess with electricity.

I am entitled to discuss the issue as much as I want. This is a discussion forum afterall. If you do not wish to discuss the topic, than you are free to stop quoting me and replying to my posts. Nobody is forcing you to continue quoting me. 

 

As it stands, there is NO confirmation of InFamous:SS being a launch title. All these links speculating are just a bunch of gaming websites trying to get more hits for their websites.

Like I said, if you wanted to drop the debate, all you had to do was stop quoting me. You quoted me, I simply replied. 

 

FTR - Just because 1 out of 100 Sucker Punch developers says its a launch title on a resume (which ppl are known to embellish), that doesnt mean its true.

This is against my better judgment, but enlighten me - what did I lose exactly? You looked up wiki for the definition of "launch". Beyond that, you probably don't have an industry position, so I shouldn't expect you to understand what I'm saying - and looking at it now, I don't. Thus, the only thing I "lost" here was my patience (something else I shouldn't have allowed, since I know, from your history, that you are not capable of letting things go). 

At this juncture, I'll take the word of a fellow dev over a forum poster bent on winning an opinion.


It's not my fault you're gullible enough to believe everything you read on a resume. Hint: People embellish things on their resumes to make themselves look better. 

 

BTW - You are the one trolling here with a snarky attitude, and trying to say I'm not "capable" of certain things. You obviously want this debate to continue seeing as how you keep quoting me.

Jesus, 9087, can't you see why CGI is getting just a tad fed up with going over this again and again. You put up a definition of 'launch' and then try to take the high moral ground with accusations of trolling and suggest 'snarky' comments? I've read all of the conversation so far and trust me, YOU are the one at blame here. Just agree to disagree and move on.
