That made me laugh!  Thank God some people here are sensible.  I got a Vita at launch, and when Vita is doomed threads popped up half way through 2012 I didn't jump on here and defend it like my child. I mean the Vita was (And still is) in big trouble, and I never denied that and acted like it would be fine.

I was worried!  But it seems price cuts and games will make the difference, so now I can rest easy.  Also the PS4 will use it a ton so I know it isn't a total loss either way.

However the Wii U is doing even worse, and it seems third parties have abandoned ship and price cuts are not helping!  This is NOT GOOD!

This has gotten to the point of being silly.  Wii U hasn't had any price cuts, and there is very little evidence for your statement that third parties are abandoning the system.  If anything, Wii U has gotten more third-party support than the Vita.  And you're talking about a handheld that's been out for 14 months versus a new-generation console that's only been out for five.  So, you really have nothing constructive to say or add to your own discussion thread.

And how many times has Nintendo proven us wrong, now?  I've lost count.

Little evidence? Are you kidding me!?

-No BF3 for Wii U

-No Metro: Last Light (Even though it was a demo lol!)

-COD is rumored to be cancelled

-Ghost Recon Online was cancelled for Wii U (Laughably also a demo for the console)

Let's see what games were on PS3 that were not on Wii U since its launch:  BL2, FC3, RE6, Metro: Last Light, Bioshock: Infinite, and pretty much every game coming out in 2013 besides Ubisoft games (They support everything).  These are massive AAA games that you cannot get on this console.  The fact is no new games are coming and all the Wii U is getting is old ports I can get for $5 on PC.

You have just made me realize that you would have to be insane to get a Wii U now.  I mean seriously people no wonder it isn't selling...

And you see no hypocrisy, none at all, in declaring that there's no way for the Wii U to turn around?

No.  I cannot see a way for it to turn around and sell 50m+.  It won't even sell half of the Wii's numbers unless they do a total relaunch.  Also I never said "Doomed!"  It can turn around, but I don't think Nintendo will manage it.

Hell I will even say the Vita is unlikely to sell 50m+.  My guess is it will sell 20-40m and manage to reach around half of the PSP's sales if lucky.  So if I can admit the Vita is a let down, why can't you guys admit the Wii U is?

Because Wii U will get top software support from Nintendo, which Vita won't get from Sony (aside from Sony Japan, who does seem to give a damn about the handheld, the other top dog Sony studios really don't seem to.)

You know I would be more sympathetic to your point of view if you didn't ignore time and time again that the Wii U didn't get a price cut. It was discounted by some retailers (only one that I know of actually), it was nothing official and it was only for the basic model. The fact that you're trying to pass this off as if the Wii U already an official price cut and it didn't help at all makes it seem like you're dishonest in your assessments.

Signature goes here!

I personally think that Wii U is done in the sense of being a successful platform because it is just badly conceived, and that's irreversible.

No amount of advertising or software will change this. Of course, I'm not saying it will be discontinued anytime soon, GameCube figures are reachable or even a little bit more.

I apologize in advance for my bad english.

Well it has in the the UK. It's £50 off both models at least, normally with games bundled. It's actually £100 off in HMV at the moment. I haven't seen it selling for RRP anywhere, and it has been this way for a couple of months (I've been keeping an eye on Amazon).

which isn't an official price cut, that he's comparing to Vita's official, Japan-only price cut.

Does it matter if the price cut is official or not? If everywhere I look has already taken off £50, doesn't it have the same effect?

Again, are you kidding?  Vita has ANOTHER assasin's creed coming out for it, LBP: Vita is often described as the definitive LBP game, Soul Sacrifice launched and moved tons of units, Killzone: Mercenary comes out this fall, and the game launched with a full Uncharted.  In fact sales have picked up a lot in japan and though they won't be this high forever, there is a lot of evidence that the console is going to stay well above where it was a month ago.  The Vita isn't the savior of handheld gaming that I was hoping it would be, but it has proven that it will survive.

On the other hand the Wii U launched with a lack luster 2D mario and a bad-average reviewed zombie game.  Besides bayonetta 2 and a couple of Nintendo games (That have zero gameplay shown), what games does the Wii U have?
