I think we may see a significant increase. I'm going to say 35-40k total, though some of the bundles and sales going around may push things up more. 45-50k would be excellent. The only thing is, the new games only really affect the west. Japan will still be low until DQX on the 30th. But I do think we have seen the bottom. And it wasn't pretty.

Yeah, Wii U sales have been the ugliest I've seen since... well, the Vita :P but a price cut did pretty well for that console ( in the short term anyways). Maybe we should extend this thread to incorporate the week ending the 5th :P

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

This week- 43k

Though of course the tracking will most likely be off so we won't know for certain until NPD.

Are those numbers the increase you're expecting, or the total numbers HW that will sell?

Total numbers

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

the only game listed i see pushing hardware is lego city. 40k? maybe 50k?

I'm going to say 50k this week and 40k next.

As to the larger poll issue; there are still several key games (Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, Wii Fit U) that still have no release dates at all. Whether or not the WiiU can maintain any momentum will depend on whether or not those games come out soon. I don't expect any of the games you listed to maintain higher sales for long.

If we see those other games start coming out soon, then it could offer a longer-term boost for sure. But I doubt they will, given the complete lack of news about them. So I'm just going to say it'll stay up for a few weeks then go back down to ~30k.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

So a pretty small bump then before we go back to normals? It's currently selling at 30k....

250,000 consoles sold.

What? For this week alone? Or the week ending on the 29th?

MH week.

MH3U has already been released in Japan, so why would we see such increases in the West?

This week is going to sell 250,000. That is what I meant. Japan.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I think a small bumb but stay there, because I don't think the current sales rate is the "normal" for WiiU. I think it's the "sub-normal", the level you get with a complete lack of software. With regular games coming out from now on I think the system will find a new regular sales level a little higher than drought levels.

But MH3U has already been released over there, so that game won't effect sales THAT much in Japan... You think Lego and Need for speed will increase sales in Japan to 250K?

I agree with this, but it all hangs on Nintendo's appility to actually release games every now and then henceforth :P

Japan's MH plus Lego and Need will help it get there, plus being overly positive about the impact of those games. Perhaps too positive.
