That's all good and all, but it doesn't really matter if the devs don't push the system to make the games which actually release look as good.
Though it's always nice to see the power I guess.

Sure, the demo is not that impressive when you compare it like that. Thats not the point, the tech demo is showing off real time dynamic lighting. It's to make game development easier - saving devs a lot of time from prebaking stuff. |
We had Dynamic Lighting in games over a decade ago... It's hardly a new feature in games and it's especially prevelent in the PC space even with console ports because the PC has the rendering power.
In time the PS4 and Xbox 720 a few years after release will probably have games at only 720P with pre-baked lighting and shadows to save on resources, it's the nature of the consoles and trying to "squeeze" more power out of them for other tasks.
They should really be showing off things like some heavy compute shading, tessellation, Physics, that kind of thing.

So now every single post from you I'm seeing as driven by a system: if it's Nintendo it's good and if it's not Nintendo it's bad. I went through every single one of your posts on this sight and scattered throughout the automated respones there are some honest opinions. Why can't you just be that guy? In regards to this thread I found your post about Assassin's Creed 3 Wii U enlightening (pun intended).
Consider this an intervention. I'd love to have you as an honest member of team Nintendomination. *You are not a fanboy. I'm not calling you a fanboy or insulting you. |
You can call me what you want no one cares really. Whats wrong with complimenting the Wii U's minor difference in its port? Youre seriously going to look through all my post and try to find something contradicting? Wii U AC3 did have minor lighting advantages and even on the post there were pictures comparing that and its a FACT. All i did was stated what i have seen on the thread (kinda like what im doing here). I called it how i saw it then and im calling it how i see it now. If i remember correctly i even said the game had no noticable frame rate drops from my experience because i own the game. I dont care im sticking to my opinion its nothing groundbreaking i have not seen before. Also idc what you call me im not going to get emotional like some here. Im not a fan like you and im not or never will be affiliated with any grouping you try to include me in here. I cant promise you i will always share your views to make you approve of me.

People are quoting me so im replying like anyone else would. What is your problem dude? Im not the only one that disagreed with the post so answer me one question why are you targeting me of all people? I dont understand these forums, people feel threatened just because you have a different opinion. A small minor issue gets exaggerated into something big for no apparent reason.
The only reason I am not too impressed is because it doesn't seem like much of a leap over what could already be done on the PS3/360. Heck, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon even has dynamic lighting.

I'm watching out for you. I'll transfer this conversation over to your wall since it seems we have sparked a connection and moved beyond talking about this tech demo.

These videos are not made to show off great graphics. They were made to show a new lighting engine that will ease development of lighting.

by telling you to let it go i actually meant stop replying to the people who keep qouting you. you are way to defensive, making accusations that people feel threatened or scared. i am not targeting you but its obvious there are problems going on in this thread and you are always a part of it. yes people have replied to you that you didnt even start talking with, but if you dont want to get into these arguements simply dont reply. we talked in this thread and i explained you were making unnecessary agruments. i even stop replying to after i said what i wanted, i didnt even bother reading your reply, yet i enter this thread again and see that other people are still arguing with you, i really dont care if they started with you or you started. so i replied to now to tell you to let it go. so people reply to you and want to argue, so what? im simply saying this not to attack you but give you advice, its really not worth it
