Forums - Gaming - What game should i buy?!?!? UPDATE! i bought Bioshock Infinite!!! :D

All I can tell you is that Tomb Raider is freaking fantastic. I've been playing it for over 20 hours on my first play through and I haven't completely all the challenges or fully upgraded Lara and her weapons. It's an amazing game and everyone should play it. It's the first game since Halo 4 to glue me to my gaming chair every day since buying it. Bioshock Infinite will likely be just as good.

If I might be so bold to suggest a game that you haven't listed for consideration. While all of those games are good. You have made it a point to say that you are somewhat strapped for cash, or at least that is your gaming budget. You might want to look into Defiance. It comes out on April 2nd. As a large persistent world game it should easily have a lot more replay that all of the titles that you suggested. It may well keep you happy for months.

Thanks for that man! and I knew that it's going to be Tomb Raider or Ni no Kuni in the end! But If Bioshock was already out then we wouldn't be even having this discussion! :P

No by all means my friend! suggest any game you want! i will check out Defiance but i can't wait until April 2nd i need a decision soon so i can buy it in two days.

It depends what you like.

I would go Ni no Kuni because it's new, and different. However I'm not much of a BioShock and God of War fan.

Tomb Raider looks cool too, but I can see this becoming a $30 game fast, just like Deus Ex.

Well you need to buy the game that has the best combination of length, if it's in one of your favorite genres, and how fun it will be to play.

The only game I've played from that list is Tomb Raider and whilst it's one of the best games I've played it's very short. To get 100% in the game (not all the achievements mind you) it took me about 20-25 hours. It also has a MP but I don't like most multiplayer games (besides FPS MP).

If Bioshock Infinite is anything like it's predecessors than it will probably be about the same length to do everything as Tomb Raider was.

If GOW: Ascension is anything like it's predecessors than it will probably take 15-20 hours to do everything (once again I'm not including MP time or attempts to get every trophy).

The game that seems to have the best combination of quality and length seems to be Ni no Kuni. If you like RPG's (is it an RPG? :s ) then that would be the way to go. Grab the other titles when they come down in price (especially since game prices are falling faster these days)

flip a coin between 2 you want to play and let us know,
