Now what's wrong with FF XIII? Other than the story I thought it was awesomazing. I absolutely loved the real time gameplay like in FF IV but better.

it's to linear

Understatement of the year.  Reading a book is less linear than FFXIII.  You spend 95% of the game running down a 10 step wide pipe.  Then when it seems like it finally opens up you find out its just an illusion and there is still only one path to follow.   FFXIII is my biggest disappointment this gen bar none.

lolwut. Getting to Pulse is the halfway point. Even if you set the bar that it's still illusionary, there's still a solid 20 hours left at that point even if you choose to ignore most of the side quests.

Err okay?  What does linearity have to do with length?  I never said it was short.

It's definitely uber linear I'll give you that, but that doesn't get in the way of it's top notch gameplay, which is what matters most right?

It could be what matters most but I definitely wouldn't say that it has top notch gameplay; in fact I have a hard time calling it a game at all.  Considering that 99.5% of fights can be won by repeatedly pressing autofight it would be more appropriate to call FF 13 the worlds longest and easiest quick time event.

^Hmm, well I guess to each their own then. =)

You said you spend 95% of the game running down a 10 step wide pipe. Not only was it hyperbole, it's was very wrong.

Ugh.  Yes I was exaggerating and speaking figuratively but no it wasn't wrong.  I mean maybe you are used to playing games that make this one look open world.  But to me, having played every other FF game, other than the illusorily open pulse, there is practically no exploration involved in the game at all.

^Hey it's the internet so it can be hard to tell whether one's 100% serious and whether they literally mean what they say nots. Because of that, I wouldn't hold it against anyone if they misinterpret something.

Ugh, all this off topic discussion about that monstrosity of a game.

Can't we just get back to talking about how beautiful Queen Lulu looks in HD?

I mean, just look at her...

(oh and wakka + auron don't look too bad either)
