PRESS RELEASE:

~Operation: FULL THROTTLE~ FFX|X-2 ETERNAL CALM+LAST MISSION HD Remaster begins

~Operation: FULL THROTTLE~ FFX|X-2 ETERNAL CALM+LAST MISSION HD Remaster is a global non-profit fan initiative to ask SQUARE ENIX to include "Eternal Calm: FFX-2 Prologue" and "FFX-2 LAST MISSION" within "FFX|X-2 HD Remaster".

GLOBAL, (Online) - Apr 6th 2013 - Something at full throttle means to do something, completely, without restraint, giving the 100% of oneself. That's the concept of this initiative because fans deserves a "FFX|X-2 HD Remaster" at full throttle, and that includes "Eternal Calm: FFX-2 Prologue" and "FFX-2 LAST MISSION" (two essential and canon pieces of story in FFX|X-2) receiving the properly HD Remaster treatment as well, within the International versions that will be provided in this compilation. Of course when we talk about to include, we mean available physically on disc/card, we don't want neither DLC nor unlocking keys.

At the moment, Square Enix is not ensuring the inclusion of these two features, according to producers statements in recent Famitsu and Dengeki interview. That's the main reason why ~Operation: FULL THROTTLE~ was created.

Aside that, if this HD Remaster it's a celebration of the FFX|X-2 10th anniversary, and as the first FF game with full voices as well, fans around the world deserves full dual Japanese/English voice option included on disc too, to be able to experience FFX|X-2 whatever voice language they choose. Or, if dual language voice option wouldn't be possible, at least allow the specific Asian version with Japanese voices and Chinese/Korean/English texts, to include Spanish/Italian/French/German texts as well, and vice versa for the US/EU version.

Square Enix, now you have a perfect opportunity to show that you really listen to your fans, we hope you will do it because otherwise we would be really disappointed, and because: We still trust you!

Final Fantasy fans and supporters are welcome to join us on Facebook™ (http://www.facebook.com/OpFullThrottle) and Twitter™ (http://www.twitter.com/OpFullThrottle). By the way, soon we'll start a recruiting campaign and we'll need people around the world skilled on different tasks, one of them could be you... So stay tuned!

About Eternal Calm -FINAL FANTASY X-2 Prologue-

Eternal Calm it's a nearly 15 minutes FMV short-film which fill the time gap between FFX and FFX-2 explaining the reasons why Yuna leaves Besaid and embarks on a new adventure to find the truth behind a hidden mystery related to someone from her past. This piece of story is vital to understand the significant change of mind of Yuna between both games, and the current situation of Spira, before playing FFX-2.

In Japan it was titled [EIEN no NAGI-SETSU -FINAL FANTASY X: ANOTHER STORY-] included in a 2nd DVD disc within [FINAL FANTASY X INTERNATIONAL], and later re-released within [FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 ULTIMATE BOX]. While in the West was released in a demo disc of PlayStation Official Magazine, or in a bonus DVD disc within [Unlimited Saga] video-game.

About FINAL FANTASY X-2 LAST MISSION

Last Mission it's a playable storyline expansion of FFX-2 with over 40 minutes of cinematics set three months after the end of the game, where the trio of leading characters meets again after receiving a strange letter that challenges them to reach to the top of the mysterious Yadonoki Tower, a recently discovered ancient ruins, and a place full of dangers that will test them in its 80 floors of which every 20 has a boss battle.

Besides the specific game-play of this mission, every 10 floors you can see cut-scenes where gradually discover the mystery surrounding the tower and learn new details about Spira and its people, which depending on whether you play a new game, or the degree of completion of the savegame of FFX-2 that you load, will reveal more or less information (which gives a replay value), but also during the ascent you will be given different situations that helps to better understand the characters, and after reaching the top, to learn an interesting lesson... Certainly a unique adventure.

About FFX|X-2 SPECIAL ENDING after completing LAST MISSION

Finally, after completing [LAST MISSION] you can see an over 5 minutes video clip, a special ending with the music theme song [Kimi e] a nostalgic ballad performed by Yuna / Mayuko Aoki. This video is a compilation of the best scenes from FFX|X-2 that rewards the player for completing the story of the two games, becoming the definitive end.

[LAST MISSION] expansion and [Kimi e] FFX|X-2 special ending video were included in  [FINAL FANTASY X-2 INTERNATIONAL+LAST MISSION] which has hitherto remained unpublished in the West.

We aren't exactly a petition, but a global non-profit fan initiative (the creation of a formal petition it's still under consideration). Soon we'll start a recruiting campaign and we'll need people around the world skilled on different tasks... So stay tuned!

Alright... which a-hole asked for this... I feel like punching..

you cant play Final Fantasy X without X - 2 :D

plus i have never played either of these games, so win XD

Why not? X2 is just a load of bullshit references to Tidus with a 10 second clip at the end in the "good" ending that gives some kind of wrap up and still doesn't really make any sense at all.

It's like it was made by a pre-pubescent Hideo Kojima...(actually a good thing in some ways lol).

When asked about the inclusion of Eternal Calm, Mr. Imaizumi obviated it saying that a couple of scenes within are expanded in FFX-2.

When asked about the inclusion of Last Mission, Mr. Imaizumi said that "FFX-2 INTERNATIONAL" it's the original story/version, and "LAST MISSION" it's a different component*, so they're still deciding whether it will be included.

(*"FFX-2 INTERNATIONAL+LAST MISSION" originally was released on the same disc in Japan/Asia.)

At interview date: FFX it's at 70% of development, FFX-2 it's at 50%

check out this "awesome" rumor from Vgleaks. Possible DLC for PS3 Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD?

One source told us that there was a surprise in the pricing information available for the PS3 version. It appears that both titles will feature additional content as DLC.

Final Fantasy X HD /Final Fantasy X-2 HD retail disc – $39.99 (Already known because it is listed in Amazon lists)
Final Fantasy X HD International Additions – $4.99
Final Fantasy X-2 HD International Additions – $4.99
Final Fantasy X-2 HD Last Mission – $2.99*

*Requires the purchase of Final Fantasy X-2 International Additions

At this moment we don’t know if Vita version will feature the same DLC packages but it is very possible that it will have the same contents available at launch.

A prime example of whats wrong with dlc, if this rumor is true.
