Forums - Gaming - Would you like a Firefly game from Telltale?

Ok first of all who of you has watched Firefly? And who has watched Serenity?

Even if you haven´t you might know, Firefly was cancelled to soon. And Serenity was kinda warpping up the next sesons of the show. But of course of 2 hour movie can´t wrap up 2 seasons of a TV show properly.

So I was thinking. If Telltale could do the same thing with Firefly as they did with The Walking Dead. That would be awesome. So what do you think about this?

I'd rather they do LOST. Omg.

No, they could never do the brilliance of Firefly justice, I think it needs to be left alone

No, I'd like a Firefly game from Obsidian.

Good call. They absolutely can. That would be a perfect match. Firefly doesnt lend itself to action-rpg so I think obsidian wouldnt work. But telltale would be great. The episodic treatment would fit.

Left alone. It would eventually be forgotten or untouched by the next generation.

Don't spoil anything, just started watching the show!

Firefly is so good. Damn, why don't they do a Kickstarter for a new season/movie like Veronica Mars did? A new season would break Kickstarter records in minutes

I am pretty sure joss wheadon is too busy to make this show. He is directing S.H.I.E.L.D and working on the Avengers 2. And a new would cost a lot of money, and even if they mad it who would air it? Plus all of the actors are 10 years older just look at Nathan fillion he can´t play captain Malcolm anymore. But he could give his voice. Take the original crew to make speak the cahracters let Joss Wheadon wirte 5 episodes and Telltale programm it and a great game would be born.

Doesn't mean it should just be abused. They key about Firefly is that is was basically perfect, if they make more, it might not be perfect

As for those talking about Kickstarter, Joss Wheedon has said he would consider it, but not until he is done with Marvel and Nathan Fillion isn't busy with Firefly. He is also scared about it not being as good as the original content and not living up to expectations

For the show to come back it would have to be animated. I thought this awhile ago. Nathan Fillion also suggested this at last years comicon. Animated would work with the right art style. As far as story, the writers have already said that they had lots of places they wanted to take the show but never got a chance.
