Do you find this controversial?  I asked it in general because some might see Sony fans as just defending their game (even though I don't think this subject creates a whole lot of bias towards a brand).

Personally I don't see it.  I told my mom, sister, and girlfriend about this and they all found it completely ridiculous that it was even mentioned.  Marcus Beer said on annoyed Gamer and IW this week that it was labeling all women as hoes.  Obiously it is a common phrase that means you support your guy friends in an argument over your girlfriend (that's how I've always heard it used and mostly in jest).  How many male and female stereotypes have countless games perpetualized and they choose to go after this one?  Completely ridiculous to me.  Of course I'm a guy so I'll be labeled as sexist or seeing from one side or something but considering every journalist I've seen bring it up (yes all 2 of them) have been men I don't see a great female uproar (and MS and Nintendo editors at sites especially females would've jumped on it if there was anything to jump on since it's a Sony exclusive).  What really made me mad is that he characterizes a fury as an "unarmed woman".  I would hesitate to even call them women just like I wouldn't call Ares a man, but even more ridiculous is that they are armed with super powers basically!  Hell it was *spoiler* an illusion you beating up and they procede to kick your ass afterwards.

What are your opinions?

EDIT: What I really hate is that I like these 2 and their views but just can't look at them the same after what they've said about this innocent trophy name.  Do they really think SSM is a bunch of sexists?  I don't know seems ridiculous you can't have any fun anymore without people getting all over you.

It was stupid and no reason to get so defensive about the name of a trophy they didn't understand.

Um this is god of war. If uncharted had something like this I'd at least understand why others were against it. However gow is already about a ruthless dude that gives no fucks. In the third he shoved a nymph into a gear just to keep a gate open. Killing an innocent girl back then didn't have this controversy.

I think it's hilarious that THIS is a "controversy" when the first entry in the series literally saw you fucking slave girls in an in-between (get your health back) mini-game. Riiiiiight.
