Forums - Nintendo - Eternal Darkness trademarked

http://mynintendonews.com/2013/03/16/eternal-darkness-fifth-extension-trademark-granted/

So a new game incoming? I would love to try out a game in that series.

I really doubt they would make a new ED
I would love it but....not happening
Project zero is another story...

It begins...

Tho it might just simply be to keep the IP theirs with no games planned.

Silicon Knights would love to do one, but they are virtually bankrupt and since the original Eternal Darkness didn't exactly light up the sales charts (and the last two SK games were... well let's just say not good) it's very very unlikely any publisher is going to fund a new E.D. game, especially so long after the first appeared.

Best bet at this point would be for SK to shutter completely, and someone else to pick up the license. Even then, it's so niche at this point, best I'd hope for is an HD remastering for E-Shop, PSN, XBL and iOS (because they wouldn't recoop cost keeping it Nintendo exclusive). IF that did great numbers, then you might get a new game.

Didn't they go bankrupt because of some thing going on with Epic Games and the game Too Human? I never did understand what really happened there between these two.

If Nintendo were to create a brand new Eternal Darkness for the Wii U, this will bring new life to the already released console. IMO, Retro Studios, PlatinumGames, MonolithSoft, and Crytek would be perfect candidates in making an M-rated game from the Big N.

Monolith soft is probably having their hands full at the moment with rpg's, and I'm not sure if I would use Retro for such a small title, I would rather put them at a westen rpg or something. I doubt crytek would do it, but platinum isn't a all to wild guess if the game is acctually made. Or the ones making luigi's mansion 2 (I believe it's "Next level games")
