In Europe, it is the 120th best selling game.

In Japan, Ps3's total sales are at about 4M software. http://vgchartz.com/japweekly.php.

The two top selling Wii games have togheter sold 5M. The top 10 have sold 12M.

Doesn't this tell you that the 10 best selling games in Japan, for the Wii, have outsold the entire Ps3 library in attachment rate?

I know FFVII is only Japan, but that is where half it's sales are. Anyway, who has better legs? It took Galaxy 7 weeks to outsell FFVII. From that on, FFVII increased its sales by 1/6 over 55 weeks, and SMG did over 7 weeks increase by 2/3...

Look at SMG in America, the only market it isn't close to SMS. I'm going by months.

November: 3rd place. Beaten by a game that was out for twice the time in that month, and one that was out trice the time.

December: Best seller.

January: Best seller.

It didn't do that good in Japan. 3rd in November, 5th in December and 9th in January.

Compared to SMS: July: 1st. August: 4th. September: 8th. October: 13th.

They have about equal drops, but more people buy games nowadays, so the total will be slightly higher for SMG.

We talk about SMG and SMS only.

SMG reached FAST SMS numbers, because Wii sold faster then GC did, because it`s 5 mln. vs 4 mln., because Almost ALL mariofans ALREADY bought Wii in Japan.
SMG droped sales so FAST, because all Mariofans bought Wii, AND even if Wii will reach 10 mln. in Japan, SMG won`t reach 2 mln., because game bought mostly ONLY by mariofans.

And for now, this works only in Japan, in USA and Europe situation is better, but for how long, unknown.
800k Japan mariofans.
1.2 mln. Europe mariofans.
3.5 mln. USA mariofans.
All other SMG buyers are casual gamers.

Japan SMG sales reached it`s potential.
Soon europe and usa will reach it too.

How long wii is going to sell, time will show, But after Wii will reach 6 mln. in Japan, 7 mln. in europe and 14 mln. in USA, it can easy stop selling. Time will tell.
For now 80-85% of nintendo fans already bought the wii, high sales of games in first week and fast drops only proves that.

Dude, there are 40 MILLION "Marioboys". That's the number SMB sold. So a maximum of half the marioboys bought a Wii and not nearly all of those bought SMG.

@Crazzy. I'd say that since Galaxy has already sold more than 1/3 more than the number of Marioboys, there aren't only Marioboys buying the game.

And there, it actually INCREASED after 1.2M. That was due to christmas, but according to you, games don't sell better during christmas.
