It's only fair to make a thread like this since we asked if we consider Nintendo gamers, core gamers.

Yup. there are so many good games out there that playing only 1 console can keep you busy the whole time without playing EVERY game out there

Well, married console owners aren't core gamers for sure.

yes

I think one acquires a very biased outlook if they own only one brand, but there's still enough games that they could be considered "core" whatever that means. I think it matters more how much one plays and pays for games, in other words supporting the game industry, than anything. In other words Pirates are not core gamers.

i don't want to be a gamer. I want to be a person that enjoy gaming in my spare time.

I had to refresh the poll because the results were cut off

single system per gen?

I've owned many consoles/handhelds in my lifetime. Mostly Nintendo though with the exception of Genesis (broke) and GameGear (sold). Then adapted PC gaming for third party favorites.

A "core" gamer should be someone that enjoys games and invests money/time/effort to play their desired titles no matter what console they own or what company they prefer.

Your poll is weird.

A core gamer is anyone who enjoys games as more then mindless fun. Someone could play nothing but smartphone emulators and still be core.

Yes, and sometimes some people just don't have money for multiple consoles, mainly in poor countries, so yes, a console can have enough games for someone to be a "core" gamer with just 1.
