Forums - General - a request to get rid of the "teams" on vgchartz

I actually disagree. By having teams the forum has become even better. For example the bad users that only troll are now way more obvious and get banned pretty quickly.

Naw. I don't think they are driving people apart. All I can see is people have just had legitimate fun from these threads.

The thing driving people apart (like they always have) are flamebaiters and trolls. It's just getting worse again because the legions have been inspired by the new console generation.

i really do hope that is the case, because the idea of teams is pretty fun. but i see it actually makes the bad users even worse

If you've been on the site long enough you don't need a fancy sig banner to tell you which company a user favours. So, yes, they really add nothing new to the forum, and should be best forgot about.

lol, clearly this guy hasnt seen how many people are on 2 teams. these teams just make it easy for us to catch up on news and talk to people about specific consoles. if people decide not to talk to you because of your sig saying ur apart of a team its thier loss.

Badly named OPs and bickering between certain people are the causes of the issues but that by itself is due to the upcoming next gen and the end of the current gen which is normal...you think its bad now? Wait till you see when the PS4 and the Next Xbox comes out lol.

Btw I miss your food polls ;(

but why just not have an offical playstation thread, an offical xbox thread and offical nintendo thread? they would do the same purpose all they need is someone who would update them and do a good job as mugen on the vita thread.

 

and dont worry ill be bringing my A-game with my new threads concerning the polls

when did i say the nintendo or any other team thread was bad? you misunderstood me, im saying the effect of these teams are bad, not the threads.

i do agree that the threads are better done, specially the nintendo and sony ones. but my point goes towards the whole idea of "teams". anyways i made this thread to also hear the opinion of the other vgchartz members

Doubt it has much to do with the teams. It's not the first time we've created them and I don't remember them causing much trouble before.

Most troublemakers already belong to a certain "team" anyway, or fanatical cult as that's more accurate of what those teams really are. Those are the "teams" you need to get rid of.
