i'm buying a ps4 nextgen but  microsoft could win nextgen, they have the us market on lock and they sell good in europe, if there system is cheaper by 100$, it will destroy ps4 sales in the states, now euro will still remain like this gen.

sony has eu locked, and japan, sorry but microsoft will never win relying on just america

microsoft does well enough in europe, if they have full dominatation in the us, they very well could win nextgen, its hard to predict these things, both systems were so close this gen they both have a huge following, i don't really know who will win nextgen, probably sony, i say but microsft also has a very good chance, lets not forget xbox was not a huge brand when 7th gen started, its gonna be very close.

Plus, no one has Americ on lock.  We are an unpredictable bunch.

EU is pretty much locked in for Sony.  Japan will support both Sony and Nintendo, but not sure which will come out on top.  America could go any way.  However, MS is a HUGE disadvantage WW, since both consoles are releasing at the same time and around the same price.  Basically, as long as Sony doesn't fuck up in a big way, and the Wii U doesn't start selling like the Wii in its early years, Sony seems to be in a very good spot to reclaim 1st.

How is EU locked? 2 gens ago you could have said they had the world locked. Japan is more Nintendo but Sony has a strong place there too.

Xbox has a minimal chance to get big there.

i'm being realistic here, i believe the nextbox will do better in us, but the PS4 will do better elsewhere, kinda like this gen

plus what does microsoft have that can counter gran turismo? europe isn't to fond of halo, as for japan, i think the 3ds will be the clear winner, but the PS4 will outperform the wiiu quite easily, the nextbox will regress a little and sell round 500k-1m LT

microsoft has the us on lock now, just like sony did with playstation but they made huge mistakes with ps3, multiplatform games look much better on 360 for 3 years, it was 200$ cheaper and the controller is so much better, playstation fans switched over, they both had the same games barring a exclusives.

Just look at the numbers.  The PS3 launched in EU 1 1/2 years after the 360, and at a much higher price, yet the PS3 is 5.7M+ ahead of it now.  And that gap is only going to continue to grow.  Probably end up being 8M-10M.  Now, what will happen there if the PS4 and NeXbox launch around the same time for almost the same price?

Japan is more Nintendo?  Maybe for handhelds.  However, the PS1 and PS2 did much better there than the N64 and Gamecube.  Sony may claim 1st there again, especially with how poorly the Wii U is selling there, currently.

So one company can lock down an area but the other can not? Care to explain?

well  trust me when i tell you, its a major reason why people prefer 360 to playsation3, ia sked many people i know, what do you think about ps3, first they tell me they hate the controller, compared to 360, especially true for shooters.

Did you look at the numbers? The gen is nearly over and it's got a 5.7 million console gap now only months before the 720 and ps4 release. That will slow the sales, not make them explode. 7-8 million tops, 10 million? Nearly double the gap?

You're dreaming.

Yes, some people switched over for this gen, but MS hardly has the US on lock.  The US is the least predictable in how they will go with console purchases.  They have always changed around the most.  Japan is always Nintendo/Sony.  Ever since the PS debuted, EU has been Sony.  In fact, the PS3 is going claim #1 there again before all is said in done.  The US is anyone's game.  Sony could actually win quite a few people back.  MS sure aren't going to have the advantage of price and timing like this gen.
