Xperia Z got such a low score??

I really can't vote in the poll until at least the Galaxy S4 is revealed

Sony has struggled in recent years in terms of software skin, camera and screen quality with their smartphones. Sounds like those issues are still there despite a very attractive design.

i read anywhere else that the cam is very good in daylight and very bad if it's little bit darker. if you only take pictures in daylight that shouldn't be a prob but if not it probably is (personally i don't care about cams on smartphones, i would love to get one without cam lol)

Specs wise, I don't think you can o wrong with any of these, but I think it's between Galaxy S4 and Optimus. I'm a Samsung guy; I love their displays, and the original Galaxy S's Wolfson audio chip is matched only by the GSIII's, AFAIK. Besides them, the only ones who have really caught my eye are LG. I want to like Sony's phones, but after living with Amoled for so long it'd be hard to go back to a standard LCD--and from what I've seen, there's aren't even all that great for simple TFT.

It's basically two people reviewing it. If you read the reviews you see how personal tastes come into play. Comparing the scores is useless

My vote goes to the Note 3 which should be out around September.

It will blow all of the above phones away just like the Note 2 did when it was released.

If Gallaxy S4 is the best phone of the bunch, i could see this being the case.

However if HTC One outclasses it in design, build quality, screen qualty and camera (much like HTC One X did last year arguably), I don't see how Note 3 will be better than that.

Samsung Gallaxy S4 +  1/2 an inch strech in screen diagonal + stylus = Note 3

I agree completely.  With smartphones, there are so many different features and different people place different values on each of them.  Review scores, unless they are universally bad, mean very little.

For instance, CNET gave the Xperia Z 4.5 Stars out of 5--

"The Sony Xperia Z combines looks, power and connectivity to supply one of the most impressive Android experiences we've seen in quite some time. The lack of Android 4.2 at launch is unfortunate and that 5-inch screen isn't going to suit everyone, but there's little room for complaint elsewhere. This is easily Sony's best phone yet, and one of the best Android phones ever released."  http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobile-phones/sony-xperia-z-review-50010121/

With some products, you really do have to read the text, and this is one of them.

At the moment xperia z appeals to me the most but i wont be getting any of these between im not a fan at all of 4.8in and above its just to big, it annoys me how there all chasing this. 4.2 is perfect. ill still with my s2 for a while longer.

Yep. And I feel that even for things like battery life, there is no good way to compare across the board as different people use different methods. This applies to reviews within the same websites as well. for example iirc engadget review of the battery life of xperia z was like that, without any proper explanation on the exact conditions the battery life was measured and even forgetting to talk about the new stamina mode (I think that's what it's called) of XPeria Z

At this point it really is about the looks and a few unique features between these high end phones. So one can't really go wrong with any of them
