I was looking forward to getting a 80gb PS3 for my b-day in May, but now it seems like the console is going to be discontinued! What should I do? I bet you have all heard of this news by now. I value the backwards compatability feature of the PS3 a lot. Is this rumor true?

Wait it out. If they announce the discontinuation, they I suggest you pick one up, as there would be some still in stores. Who knows, maybe a price drop will come with it too?
