No not saying your new.

Just that people who werent here in 07-08 have no idea.  This place is gonna get wild over the next 2 years

I agree... and could be even bigger because the transition was in 2006 the year the VGC was created... now we are living the pre-transiction and all the hype for the next-gen.

Yep I agree 100 percent

What can you do? Members can stop attacking one user, one mod, stop criticizing every ban that a mod makes, stop flaming owners of other consoles, stop spamming, stop trolling. The list is endless...

There's so many things that so many users do that aggravate each other and then they hold there hands up and say "Who me?" when someone decides to retaliate or when they get moderated. That's another thing that users can do. Stop retaliating.

What every member of this community can do in order to help the community is to look at themselves and improve themselves. Stop worrying so much about the other guy and start worrying about yourself.

so the only thing i can do is become a mod, cause the rest of that doesn't apply to me. or hasn't in some time. and i'm not saying you're saying it does..................long story short. the reason i'm quoting you is, that i agree with everything but the criticizing the mods. as that's one thing i can't not do.

and while i don't do it often, and the job is hard enough without being told you're wrong by the very people that report others, and seemingly can't stand to be reported on. it's the reality of the job.

mods don't get paid, and that's what makes the position they're in worse, and mistakes will be made. but even so, you're going to be held accountable, and by more then just the top mod, and site owner. you serve the community to better it, so you'll take those hits, bann friends, rival console gamers, ect.

the lion's den (being a mod) is a very hostile place to be. it's allot like being a cop.

you'll have to forgive me, i'm a bussiness major, who's heavily on policy, and believes everyone should be/is accountable not matter what they do.

i know you said user's can stop attacking mods, and not they shouldn't criticize them, but they kind of go hand and hand.

Maybe I wasn't completely clear in what I was saying (it wouldn't be the first time) but certain users have a problem with one mod and then criticize every single thing that one mod does.  Let's just say hypothetically that you didn't get along with Mr Khan.  Now if you posted a complaint the wall of every member that he banned wouldn't that be ridiculous?  Some users do exactly that.  There's nothing wrong with being critical of a ban if someone feels that it's truly unjust, but when someone does it just to do it.  Well, that's just being nasty.

That is a question that I don't have an answer for.  I'd delete them myself if I could.

Welcome to the Jungle...we've got fun and games...

The biggest issue is hypocrysy IMO. People are quick to whine about fans of either companies behaviour but then do nothing when fans of their company behave like absolute ass hats, in fact they go as far as to defend the unacceptable behaviour. Taking the example thread already mentioned, those people broke the rules quite clearly and were banned, I only wish the rules were applied more consistently as there is a lot of deliberate trolling and derailing used to spoil threads.
