Technically, PS4 already came out. The Radeon HD 7850 GPU was released in 2012...

i agree too, we have to wait and see how ps4 and next xbox will sell but selling more than 50M i think is not easy this time around and keeping the cost of making games same as before is not easy considering inflation but people don't want to pay more than 60 bucks so in few years these small studios will have a though time to make games for consoles. Also consider this, making iphone game is much easier people can make games for iphone by working on weekends they don't even need to work full time to make games for iphone and yeah i don't like the games but still


Then, iphone games would come out so much, that novebody will buy them.

Nah...I don't wanna say it's 100% impossible for consoles to be replaced by other devices, but I really can't see it happening in the near future

Development isn't going to get more expensive just because of better Graphics. It will even become cheaper. It's the main reason the PS4 is using x86 and a shitload of RAM. Optimization will be a lot easier, which means less development time, less programmers and less costs. Especially Mid-Range games can be produced very cheap with some licensed Engine.

Consoles will be around a whole lot longer. But just like the PC, they are always doomed at some point. Just because something like the iPhone comes around, it doesn't mean everything else automatically goes to waste. The market can very well handle multiple plattforms. Even if the market shrinks, which I highly doubt, as long as it's profitable for the Manufacturers, there will always be new consoles.
