The only series EA has that I am interested in is Mass Effect, and at the rate they are going that interest might dwindle. Dead Space is a maybe, but what they did to DS3 has also mitigated my interest. However, I heard the first 2 games are pretty good so I suspect I'll pick up the trilogy later. As for other EA games ...... nada.
Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS
I think this is the best review I've found.

Never was a big PC gaming, but that sucks hard. Last thing i got from EA was the ME trilogy, i dont see anything that interest me in the near future
The question is somewhat loaded, because it precludes the possibility that some have already sworn off their games, or at least only support them conditionally. This game doesn't change my opinion of the company by even one iota. I have zero respect for them as a provider, and no faith at all in their goods. That being the case I don't have to be mad at them. I just lump them in with all the other shovel ware developers in the market.
This company is beneath contempt. I just don't care about them anymore, and frankly I cannot understand why it is that some still do. They finally fucked with me too many times last year, and I decided they weren't worth all the fucking aggravation. I game to have fun. I shouldn't have to put up with all their bullshit, and I refuse to put up with any more of their crap. End of story.
In summation the only effect this news has on me is to confirm the rightness of my previous decision. Not that I ever expect to be proven wrong, and I got a good chuckle out of the fact that some people are still gullible enough to buy from them. I mean seriously it is like hiring a pedophile to babysit your children. This company treats their customers like they are common criminals. While they themselves are crooked as all hell.
Some companies are more evil than others, so I go by each game basis by basis. I don't buy games at launch, so I guess I also have less reason to be angry... I wait until patches are available and the dust has settled. I'm turned off by an online-only SimCity... I don't know if it has a single player you can just login and play... that would be fine. Maxis games usually age really well and I keep playing them years after the fact. However, to be multiplayer 24/7, I don't like that. The other could be patched and fixed somehow even after EA servers abandon it.
I liked Maxis before Will Wright left and it became mainly EA... I "tried" Sims 3 and the feeling from the other games (especially the original) seemed totally gone, so I uninstalled and skipped buying it entirely. I didn't mind buying expansion packs to some degree for Sims 2, by that point I found them for super cheap... but I think Sims 3 felt like less of a game without expansions, so forget it. The graphics drop also annoyed me, though I understand why it had to be done that way at the time... it just didn't feel like a Maxis game at all though.
I think they have to try harder to get our money the more they keep going. I don't think it is about boycotting any company specifically... because not many people are willing to do that to skip over their favorite game series. They really want to push Origin on people and so far, their campaign seems to be really working [/sarcasm]
EA wants to be more in control of where your dollar goes, like a monopoly, and we see how that works for the quality of the games. What I want to know is what it's like working at EA if their business tactics and game development are so good as this...
This game launch has pretty much sealed it: I'm not buying any EA products. Period.
I was among those begging Maxis to change course and give us the Sim City fans really want(NO online-only, some OPTIONS with city size, terraforming, full modding support, etc) but they did not listen. I never planned to buy the game because they never planned to make a legitimate Sim City game. I guess a real Sim City wouldn't have enough profit potential for EA.
You know, I actually like The Sims. Problem is, it's a constant barrage of expansions, content packs, and micro-transactions. It gets tiring, whether you buy them or not.

An that's why I delayed Diablo 3, and then after a while didn't even feel like buying it.
But now that Age of Kings HD is coming out. I might just get that instead.
As soon as the always online thing was announced the game went from day one buy to fuck no. Everything announced about the game since then (map size, content that should be in the game split off as day one DLC etc) has only reinforced my decision not to buy it.

Seriously considering boycotting all EA games in the future. They didn't have many games I was really interested in any more anyway and if the games I do want are ruined by bs like this, I don't see why I should buy any of their stuff any more.
