Depends on price, hardware and controller options. Steam already has a large user base and if you can buy a "Steam Box," sign in, and download all your existing content, it already has an advantage over the competitors.

If it has up-gradable or personalized components, then it will be very similar to owning a PC and a great decision.

It looks cool; will it fix the problem of all routers sucking? I've tried every brand, they all randomly disconnect, fail, flash lights at me for no reason, drop packets, and are /hot/.


I'm going to use it as a wireless range extender on the first floor since I'm running 2 E3000's with DD-WRT upstairs and they work pretty well, I also have 3 other Power Line AV wireless APs at different areas of the house and I'm hoping to eliminate them once I get my Almond+, look up Almond on youtube, that's the wireless N version and it's good shit but I already got my E3000s before I knew that even existed(or existed after I got the Ciscos.)
