I'm really excited to read the IGN review now.

Considering all the reviews so far, I really want at least something above 8.    8.1 for example.   Hopefully it will be a 9/10 :D

For me it is not about the score itself... I mean if most of the reviewers give their opinions without play the MP then why I will read them? I think it is so unprofessional to review a game without play every mode.

I'm waiting to read the IGN review bacause I think they deservers more than the other reviewers in this case.

Beat the game, will make a thread later and go into it more detailed. Its 4.40 AM here though and I got school tomorrow with an exam on friday so I have to get sleep! Likely to post after the exam on friday.

In short though =>
A game that sadly lacks the narrative of previous entries and has a story that doesn't reach its potential. Despite that, it is a great game. - 8/10

 

EDIT: CHANGE THAT! I havent actually played MP yet aside from the Beta which I know is great. So we're easily talking a 9 here (unless the MP is even more insane which it probably is) xD

 

EDIT2: With that said, the campaign was an 8/10. With MP itll go up. But with GoW3 and previous entries: The campaign alone really put it to a 9-10 standard for me. So yeah.. worse campaign (slightly) but MP does kinda make up for it.

What I love about IGN is that my two favourite games (UC3 and MGS4) both scored 10's there.

So if somebody dislikes this game he is just a troll? Don´t forget most reviewers are not blind fanboys but mature people who look at some things different then you and me. Why do you even give a fuck about the score this has? The most important thing is that you enjoy it. I have enjoyed MGR a lot and didn´t that its score about the same.

The same peple on Metacritic are giving this game a zero out of ten multiple times without saying why they dislike it. If they are they're just paraphrasing what the reviewers said instead of talking about their personal experiences of the game unlike the ones giving it a positive review. Therefore they are trolls. And reviewers look at things from a different perspective than an average gamer does. Let's not forget that reviewers are paid by the developers....still wondering why the IGN review is taking so long... 

Tell me about it. Just at the user score of DMC. There a users who just signed up for trolling it. But I don´t see that with GoW happening. It has a user score of 7.7 which is decent. And some of the smaller magazines are surely paid publishers but the heavy hitters like Gamespot and IGN ain´t

It will sell better than any other action game since God of War 3, but I don't think it will top God of War 3 sales. Maybe 3.5 - 4 mil sales.

Bearing in mind God of War 3 is under-tracked (I believe), since Sony reported to have shipped 5.2 mil copies of the game, yet the sales on this site are lower than that.

I think Ascension could get up to about 4 mil, but not God of War 3 sales. However if the multiplayer takes off, who knows...

In Brazil the preorders are 8x over GoW3.... GoW3 sold 30k in the first month here.

I just saw the review at IGN, and I really dont know why the hell they consider the SP to be that lame. For me the whole SP campaign is better than GOW3. Gameplay, graphics, pacing are better in Ascension. I just dont get it.

At least the fans are enjoying it a lot, but still this kind of reviews hurt the franchise.
