I am pretending to be surprised that a a MSO game is having troubles at launch.

Man, it just keeps getting worse. They have now turned off Cheetah speed in order to alleviate strain.

I'm glad to see this. Or should I say, I'm not surprised. Maybe next time they won't force it to be online. I really think that is an awful idea. This is what kept me from buying it. I love Sim City games...

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

.... man this game had such potential. I completely agree with that review that said "it's a fascinating, well structured and intelligent multiplayer component for a sadly non-existant single player main feature"
Everything I'm hearing about this game makes it worse and worse.

Maybe the next game they will discover the breakthrough of players being able to play a game offline, like all the other SimCity games. I really detest this practice in series that do not need it or never had it before.

Amazon now stopped selling digital copies, presumably because they were having to give refunds that they will now have to fight with EA to reimburse and now Maxis is disabling features to try to get the game working. These features include leaderboards, achievements, and the cheetah speed. While disabling cheetah speed is the worst of those its funny that they are disabling leaderboards, one of the features they touted as the need for an always online connection.

What a garbage game. Im glad i knew better than to buy this crap especially given the other issues about the game itself but its sad that Simcity is probably forever ruined.

Well I passed on this because of online all the time. So looks like good choice.

Hoping Civ 6 is not online all the time.

And it's eventually going to come out for PS3 and PS4 and not have to be online all the time and you won't need an origin account. A.K.A the Diablo 3 way.

Markuss Person shouldn't talk, Minecraft doesn't even have dedicated servers, and his new game is going to implode much harder.

You're kidding right?

Didn't Diablo 3 have similar issues at launch?
