You don't need the price to place a preorder.
Most places only require you to put down a $50 minimum for a console preorder.

No price promise I'm aware of, but you can pre-order it with that being the given price (with a £20 deposit) Alternatively, you can register your interest in order to receive alerts, like price, release etc. I imagine this is more what they are referring to |
Hmm, when my next student loan comes in, I think I'm giving Game a visit ;)
It makes sense to me that PS4 would help sales in the video game market, but I don't believe people in the UK believe that only PS4 will be good. I believe the statement talked about the next generation consoles. I for one am looking forward to the type of competition we consumers will get on the next generation. I recall something about Valve jumping in and there is a supposed to be a kick starter console. I'm not pinning much hopes on any particular console right now. I am; however, excited about many different choices we may have next generation. My wish would be for none to win, but all to heavily compete the hell out of each other.
I would never pre-order something, with out knowing the price and when it comes out. Doing that just doesn't make any sense to me.
Performing very well, but not "amazing"? uh oh :P

They normally have a price guarentee, but they are not so stupid to give one when there is no announced price
The figures are meaningless at this stage, I will be interested in the month before launch, but not now
Personally, I decided against pre-ordering from game, I don't have 100% faith that they will still be around 1 year from now
First, Europe is Sony's territory so expecting better sales than Wii U and next XboX is natural.
Second, the reason there is no price tag yet nor confirmed specs for the system makes this statement invalid.
