It looks amazing on PC. It also gets a little better as you go along. It opens up, but it never becomes the open world game I had hoped the Crysis franchise would be.

Yep Crysis 2 was a let down for me but Crysis 3 is pretty much better in every area.

I REALLY like the way the overgrown city looks its pretty amazing to look at.  And this might sound wierd but I love the amount of water in the levels.  All the little running streams and small ponds and lakes, it just looks awesome.

I disagree. I personally think the first game was better,in all of those departments. 

I was somewhat dissappointed by Crysis 2, so I went into Crysis 3 with little expectation and came out really happy with it. I especially liked the dialogue between Phsyco and Prophet, I prefer 3's story over 2. But just like the title states it was fun but I was not blown away.
I'll probably really enjoy the multiplayer being that I enjoyed Crysis 2's multiplayer.

yea i'll likely be using the Bow more then anything, but i'm a very tacticle person, so what ever gets the job done. but i'll be using the the BOW the most.

So seeing as this thread served as a review of some sort, I just picked this game up from GameStop. Would anyone recommend far cry 3 over this? I know they are different genres but as an overall game. 

Depends, Far Cry 3 definately has more value packed in it with Campaign, Co-op Campaign and Multiplayer while the Campaign is awesome and is somewhat similar to the RPG elements that you find borderlands while I havent tried co-op campaign yet I have tried multiplayer and it's well not really pretty. While Crysis 3 also has a great campaign it is short but sweet, the multiplayer is superior to Far Cry's in every way. So in short if you plan on plan a good amount of multiplayer on Crysis 3 stick with that, but if you want a longer campaign and side missions to perform go with Far Cry 3.

I played the PC version for about an hour or 2 and I really don't have any interest in launching it again. The bow was great, the graphics were amazing, but I just don't have much interest in playing the game. It's missing something that usually makes me keep playing to the end.

It was a good game but it didnt hold my interest, so ive moved over to Tomb raider.
