The Clash
- Their best song is London Calling
- Their best album is not London Calling, but it is The Clash (self-entitled album)
My second favourite would be either Van Halen or the Ramones.

| ikilledkenny said: What, no Led Zeppelin? Led Zeppelin is my favorite band, and Led Zeppelin IV is one of my favorites, if not number one. Stairway to Heaven is also one of the best songs ever. Anybody else seen This is Spinal Tap? It is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I rate it an 11. |
Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

My son would agree with you and is dying to see them live, although there seems no plans for them to come to the UK or even NYC, which would be easy for us to fly to.
When you say 'band' I'm presuming you mean a groups of artists that play their own instruments so for example, Eminem, Michael, Jackson or Madonna etc would not count.
Difficult to pick one band or evena track by them because it depends on my mood so I have, Radiohead, Muse, The beatles and The Smiths to choose from. ...And I'm going to be really boring and pick:
The Beatles
I'll follow the sun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gh6NS2D0pW8
The Beatles: The white album
For the reasons: So many great and original tracks in only a 7 year carear, it intrigues me how many people who like me were born after they split, including young teens like their music 40+ years later.Without them the UK would probably not have the music tradition we are known for and..without them the bands you are naming above and below this post probably would not have existed.
-Dir en grey
-Favorite song: Zakuro
-Favorite album: MACABRE
I love Dir en grey because they have so many kind of songs, that go from soft or agressive ballads to hard rock, pop, heavy metal, experimental and progressive. Also, I love the amazing (and hard to understand lyrics) Kyo writes. He can tell so hard stories on his songs. It's amazing.
Jimmy Eat World or Nirvana.. cant decide.

BAND
1 Metallica

4 Killswitch engage
5 Tool
SONG

5 Aenima

1 ...And Justice for all
2 Minutes to Midnight

For me its: We're Not Alone Saturate Phobia Saturate, their debut album, has a lot of great songs you can rock out to. It's definitely better than Phobia. |
hmm, might need to pick it up.
I liked Phobia better, but that is because my taste are a bit softer than some(thus U2 being my favorite group)
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
Metallica and Iron Maiden.
Metallica are loosing their touch though, I hope they get back on track with their next album. I'm one of those diehard fans who feel that The Black Album was the beginning of the end. It was the beginning of their commercial success worldwide but the end of their integrity and real sound.
"And Justice for All" FTW!!
And Iron Maiden; you just have to appreciate 50 years old's who make music as if it was late 70's or early 80's yet!
