Killzone 2 is a decent shooter, especially for a console shooter. The controls and mechanics feel heavy and cumbersome, in a good way and the sound is actually very good.
I've wanted to get into this series for a while. I think I'll just wait for shadowfall.
The game looks beautiful, and I've heard it has a weighty/powerful feel to it. I tried Killzone 3, and it didn't feel like that at all.
Wow, the game finally gets it's due. Best ps3 game IMO and the best $60 I ever spent on anything. Played the multiplayer for 116 days and counting. Nothing else is as good I tell ya, nothing. I don't know why they got rid of custom servers in Kz3...what a waste. Here's to hoping KZ:SF returns to the KZ2 formula!
Great intense single player campaign...check!
Competitive multiplayer including the intensity of actual clan battles...check!
Class system where everyone has it's purpose...check!
Unique mission system aka warzone...check!
Customizable server i.e want to play pistol only...you can, rifle only...you can, body count only...you can, cant stand assault class...you can disable it, etc...this was the single best feature of this game that set it apart from every other console shooter released this gen!
No camping...check!
Sick controls...check!
etc
And people wonder why I never stop playing it...
"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)
"WAR is a racket. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler
Man I wouldnt change a thing about the controls! I hated where they went with Kz3 I logged 300+ hours into Killzone 2 online while Kz3 I only logged about 50.
Like most of you I loved the MP in Killzone 2 for the first year or so but after awhile it turned into a RPG fest. I've tried playing it several times and it's always the same bullshit. Thanks Modern Warfare 2 for giving noobs one of the cheapest tools.
i loved it... play it several times and the hardest difficulty is awesome to overcome.
after KZ2, KZ3 felt weak, but played again a year after the first playthrough and with the (unreasonable) expectation back to normal, i love the game almost as much as KZ2. Sometimes hype and the expectation ruin the games...

You can create your own room and disable it. Back in the day there were many rooms that had it disabled but these days, most people leave it on. I don't really care though...just shoot them in the head.

Some of my favourite multiplayer this generation.
I never played Killzone 3, I heard poor things from my friends and I had too many other shooters to play, but #2 still gives me hope for this franchise.
The best FPS I've gotten the pleasure to play. Also my second favourite MP behind Uncharted 3.
I went in as a child and came out a man x'D Helghan was brutal.
