GOWA will sale more than MG Rising for sure I don't know about Gears.
And another thing GOWA and GOWJ are spin-off prequels in the same genre as their previous games, MGR is in different genre than Metal Gear Solid games.

Gears should have a higher pre-order rate than God of War, it's the bigger franchise, but that's not my point. Hype is there, it's just not going to be in the same field as previous games because, again, these aren't sequels. |
So you considerr both of them having less preorders than there predecessors (once again you know what I mean) a lot of hype. Halo 4 = a lot of hype. Gears of War 3 = a lot of hype. Gran Turismo 5 = A lot of hype. Metal Gear Solid 4 = A lot of hype.
These games are not gaining traction compared to the previous games in the series. I for one expect lower sales for both of these series. I find both of them to be highly unpredictable as far as sales but as for hype they both are below there predecessors yet there is more consoles out there now than when the previous installments was released.Especially God of War since it was released with probably 30 million less consoles

I was gonna answer that but, well, you already did.

Both will sell more than MGR.
BTW its SELL not SALE.

For God of War, I've seen a substantial craze and hype for it, both net and real world, so yes. Gears, not as much, but I've still seen some. If you read the original quote carefully, he said NO hype. My argument is that there has been some, ads included. |
Maybe I read him wrong and he may be wrong if that is the case but a substantial craze? I think you are mistaking forums that are filled with sony fans over hype.

Well, since I said net AND real world, I'm not sure how you drew that conclusion, but since this is not getting anywhere, feel free to have your view. I'll just let the first week and lifetime numbers do the talking. If both sell significantly less than God of War III and Gears 3, I'll happily revisit this thread and post accordingly. |
I'm not blinded by my emotions ;) So yes we will see. PS4 and NeXbox are also going to shorten both of there lives. Ascension has a better chance of reaching GoWIII numbers but itll fall short. My guess would be anywhere from 2-3.4m

Notice the weekly change |
those gears pre orders are a joke, no matter what way you look at it

I think you have missed my point. Reread through some of the things i said. They are both going to fall short of there predecessors is my point. And if you consider Gears Judement not to be hyped then GoWA isnt really hyped either.

Makes you wonder if they aren't being tracked properly, or if people really just aren't that interested (the latter is hard to believe, given how much better Gears 3 did. |
Nah Im not even interested in Gears J and it is my favorite series. Im buying it though but Im not even remotely excited. Only one of my friends are buying it as well and everybody that are big fans of the series ive asked and they all arent getting it. It just doesnt look interesting or good honestly.

of course they will both fall short, but the difference beteen Gears 3 and Judgment is just huge, much much much bigger then gow3 to Ascension
