Why is that? Am I such a special personality?

What about Tekken or Virtua Fighter? They seem to work pretty well. But I agree, Smash Bros. should stay 2-D

Those games aren't true 3-D.  They are 2-D with a Step.

You could do it easy if you had a "lock" button to switch between opponents.  Still wouldn't be as fun.

Just No. For a start a lot of the characters couldn't be made any more detailed without losing their NES appeal.

Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.

If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.

Lock on button.. Hmmm....What does that remind me of???

Oh ya!

PSP Shooters!

Talk about taking the fun out of a game...

I don't think Tekken, VG, or Soul Calibur are in 3d, persay.

They are generic 3d, as in, they give the illusion of being in 3d, with sidestep and plane changing maneuvers.

However, until you can literally turn your character around and run diagonally away from your opponent, it's not really a full 3D experience.

There was a brawler for Dreamcast, you guys remember that game? It had full 3d and destructable stages. That game was pretty decent, so a decent fighter can be made in full 3d, and it'll be more like Final Fight, Double Dragon, or God Hand, if that's the case.

However, 2d goes with the nature of smash brothers, and changing it would make it a whole different game, which is bad, because we love it how it is.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Oh I do think it'd suck compared to 2P ones.  Though that is how it would work.

Custom Robo wasn't bad with the lock on switch in 2 on 2 matches.

@Zenfolder: You're talking about Power Stone, which has already been mentioned.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

i think 3D would be very hard to implement successfully so i don't think it could exist.
