The reasons why I like Gen 4 a little more than the others are very...personal

Gen 2 is second because it has 16 gym leaders!!

Gen 3 is third because I think Hoenn is epic, it has an ocean where the islands are full of interesting things, a big desert, a volcano, a space center!, the underwater!! and it even has  city where all people lives on treehouses!

Gen 1 is the next because even if Kanto is relatively simple, it was the first Pokemon region I explored

And Gen 5 is the last because Unova is linear (but that doesn't mean I don't like Gen 5)

You list a number of the reasons why I like Gen 3 the most. I just wish we could use a space station to end up in an international space station with some great fun adventures to have there before ending up traveling back to earth, and also having an adventure going towards & coming from the space station (outside of earth's orbit).
