Well TTYD pretty much has this in this bag. ;D
Next Poll: Best Mario Party?

MP3, MP5, or MP 8 would probably win.

Sunshine is the best one. Unfortunately it won't win.

Maybe Mario RPG has a better story, I can't debate that since I didn't finish the game, but TTYD definitely has the better gameplay, which is the most important thing. From what I remember, there really wasn't much strategy at all involved in RPG's battles. Just select attack, select a target, repeat until you win. Oh, and ocasionally heal yourself. TTYD had much more strategy n variety involved, such as the differences between hammering n jumping (hammer good against enemies with def but can't hit flyers and can only hit front most enemy, jumps can hit flyers and flip over koopas, but aren't to great against enemies with defense, etc.), how you could change the order of who acts first/takes most of the hits, the many different action commands for each attack making battles less repetitive, and other subtle things that I'm forgetting as I haven't played the game in ages.
Oh, and it had the Pit of 100 Trials, which made for one of the hardest and most skill intensive challenges I've ever seen in a Mario game, which was beating the Pit o' 100 before beating the first chapter. Just thinking about that makes me want to play it again.

Well, I think Sticker Star has better gameplay mechanics then other Paper Mario games.

@tbone51:
You should still have that poll at some point, as not everyone may agree with you. :P

I disagree. It honestly had the worst. There were no partners, level up's, upgradeble weapons, items, etc. Even Super Paper Mario had better mechanics.

Mario & Luigi series has a very small amount of votes. It's a crime that Partners in Time is in the poll, but to each and their own I guess.

i like partners in time *.*, not my favorite but still! My order in all games listed! Super Mario RPG>TTYD>>>Paper Mario(N64)>>>SuperStar Saga>Partners In Time>Bowser Inside Story>>>Paper Mario Sticker Star>Super Paper Mario!

I have never seen PiT being higher than BIS in anyone's list. My criticism of that game is the ridicolous baby partners, awful villains and the awful final boss. The only enjoyable part of the game was Groshi for me. The Shroobs must be one of the worst villains in any game, for me at least.

My list would be -

Bowser's Inside Story >  Superstar Saga >> Paper Mario = SM RPG >>> TTYD > SPM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Partners in Time

you forgot Sticker Star lol, i hope Mario+Luigi Dream Team be so epic!

Yeah... I won't be buying it. The sticker mechanic seems to clunky, but Dream Tema is looking good.I like the concept so far, which I did not for SS.

Paper Mario Sticker Star is a Fantastic game, despite weaker storyline and Handheld made world (by handheld made world I mean, you can actually play it on the go)

Well, you could still gain health, plus you kept getting more powerful stickers for stronger attacks and so fort.

Well I voted for SNES Square-Soft Mario RPG anyways.

Have you seen Super Mario Bros. Movie 1993?
