I chose the Genesis, because they shamelessly trolled Nintendo back in the day. The best choice possible in the poll for a Playstation fan.

Do you play MP/coop games on a regular basis?

Hm, besides Fifa, sporadically. Why?

Well your posts are usually interesting lol I was wondering if that was found in your play style online too.

19. I got my first Nintendo console 3 weeks before joining this site. Previous 10 years were all Sony, and I've no regrets with that.

That's very interesting. I was actually with Nintendo growing up, and I begged my father for a N64 not knowing anything about the Playstation at the time. I wasn't attached to Nintendo or anything - I just wanted the console all my friends were getting. Instead he bought me a PS1. Of course I wasn't angry since it was new and interesting, and the name Playstation instantly resonated with me well. I loved the system so much that I decided to stick with the brand. No regrets at all. In fact, I've spent my own money on Playstation systems while the Nintendo consoles (along with the first Xbox and Dreamcast) were gifts for me. The Wii U will be the first Nintendo console I buy with my own money since I'm a Smash Bros. and Zelda freak.

Yeah, my first system was a PS1, and the original Spyro was my first game. Followed closely by Crash and Tomb Raider. My, what great titles those three were. Then I just went through all the other classics, like FF, Gran Turismo etc.

To be honest, I'd never even heard of Zelda until I was 14, when I visited a friend and played Wind Waker with him. What fun!

I have very fond memories of Crash and Spyro growing up. I intend to get them on the Vita as soon as they are available. Initially I didn't have a memory card, so that caused me to play Spyro and Crash consistently in order to beat them, respectively. I did enjoy the Nintendo counterparts each generation up until this gen. I didn't even bother with the Wii, but I loved the N64 and Gamecube. The N64 was my de facto mp system back in the day. It had great mp titles for all to enjoy and I am one of the few who didn't take issue with the controller.  The GC was an excellent system for me as well. Unlike my Xbox, which I only had 2 or 3 reasons to play (Ninja Gaiden, Otogi and Ninja Gaiden Black), the GC had a plethora of great titles for me to enjoy and it provided me with superior multiplats. I played 007 Agent Under Fire on both the PS2 and GC, and the latter was vastly superior when you compare them (in terms of visuals, performance and AI). But the PS2 just kept pumping original titles month after month - it could not be stopped. Every two weeks I had a new PS2 game in high school, much to the dismay of my friends who played exclusively on the GC and Xbox.

My enthusiasm for Nintendo changed with the Wii. Somebody bought one for me, and to this day it's probably in some corner of my mom's house back in Trinidad. The Wii U is more powerful than the HD twins, albeit not by much, but that's more than enough for me. I am still impressed with the PS3's offerings so I'll welcome the Wii U, and the controller is tolerable when compared to the wii mote (which I despite).

WHAT? wait people actually did this, lololololololololololollolololoolloloolllololoolllololololololool

no seriously though, please tell me that some of your friends had ps2s?

Um, thank you? I guess...

I don't understand how you connect the way I post with my online play style though. Please explain.

Btw: I am also a big Crash fan. I think I've beaten Crash Bandicoot 3 on every existing Playstation console. On PS1 and PS2 with the disc, on PS3, PSP and Vita with the PS1 classic digital version. Oh and btw, Crash Team Racing > Mario Kart!

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Interesting story indeed! I do believe the 5th generation was almost the golden age of gaming. I mean, Spyro, Crash, FFVII, Ocarina Of Time, Super Mario 64...to name a few classics. As I said, never really had a GC but I've got a few different games for it right now (as my friends continue to tell me how much better Melee is than Brawl). Though I don't know how you could survive with no PS2 in the 6th gen.

And I rather enjoy my Wii U, but there isn't really the software library right now. Though, if you haven't got a Wii, it makes a lot more sense to wait a few more months and pick one up with the backlog of great Wii titles as well!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

There's no connection mate lol Don't take me literally. I'm just being silly. But yea your posts are generally pretty funny.

Crash was boss back in the day. And yea CTR > Mario Kart for me. Oh how I wish Crash continued in the vein of Mario and was continued by a competent studio (exclusive to Sony of course).

Oh yea a few of them did, but it there was a lot of gaming diversity, and I was the only one that mixed consoles although I was a Sony enthusiast (since most were gifts). The thing is, the SEGA men went to Microsoft and loathed Sony and to a certain extend Nintendo too, so the PS2 and GC were not options. The PC crowd thought the Xbox was the only console worthy of their time and deemed the other 2 beneath them, and the Nintendo faithful stuck with the NGC. Some thought the PS2 was too common and wanted something different too. My closest friends were among the aforementioned groups, while by "B team" friends had PS2s, but they were not serious gamers as myself. All of that pent up anger exploded the following gen when the PS3 launched. People were happy the PS3 was off on a rocky start.

Yea, I actually have a lot of Wii titles in my cart on Amazon. I'm just waiting on the right time to get them. I want to collect as many as I can since the Wii U is BC. I'll probably get the Wii U when Smash Bros. launches or if there's a good deal on Black Friday. Zelda WW, Pikmin 3, Mario 3D Land and Sonic have my interest, but not so much to convince me to pick one up this year (unless there's a decent price drop).

As for the PS2 ... well my friends somehow did it lol I guess their dispassionate feelings towards Sony and few exclusives they could cling to sustained them. The only time they beheld games like MGS2 (before it went to Xbox), Onimusha, Devil May Cry, Shinobi, Final Fantasy, etc etc etc were when they came by me for sleep overs (or in reverse).

Oh sorry I guess the sillyness went lost in translation. Me no habla ingles very well.

I was wondering why the hell Sony does not buy the IP back. Since Activistion doesn't do anything, I see no point in keeping it for them. For Sony it would be huge though.

I don't think anybody here is lol I've played with most. They're either like me, rusty, or not naturals. You're definitely a shooter. xD
