^ Those mock ups makes the PS4 design looks like a transformer. lol!

The second design reminds me of a rugged laptop. lol

You know I kept telling myself that Mockup B looks oddly familiar and your post just reminded me what it was.  An old laptop.  It really does look like that and now I really don't want it to look anything close to that.

Oh, and guys we are nearing 3000 posts!!!

haha ya, but the real benchmark is over 9000!!!

New game for next gen cosoles: Dying Light.  Not sure if there is a thread, but figured I post it here anyways.

Warner Bros. Interactive has announced Dying Light. Developed by Techland, the title is an open-world first person survival horror game with day-night cycle. You'll have to fight against the infected by scavenging and crafting weapons during the day while at night you become the prey. Set to release next year on current, next-gen consoles and PC. More details and first screens inside.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment wishes gamers ‘Good Night, Good Luck’ in Dying Light
Hope Hangs by a Thread and Fades with the Light as Survivors Scavenge the Remains of Humanity

Coming to Next-Gen and Current-Gen Consoles, PC in 2014

LONDON, UK – 23rd May, 2013 – Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announces Dying Light, a first-person, action survival horror video game with a portentous day-night cycle set in a vast open world. Currently under development by Techland, the game will be available in 2014 for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4, plus Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system, and PC.

During the day, players will traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which only appear after sundown. Players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning’s first light.

“We are excited to partner with Techland on Dying Light, which is an original gaming experience for next-generation consoles,” said Kevin Kebodeaux, Senior Vice President, Sales and Operations, Americas, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “The partnership with Techland allows us to combine their successful development capabilities with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s one-of-a-kind publishing expertise to deliver on this title.”

“The next-gen technology allows us to create a truly dynamic open world that features a game-changing day-night cycle,” said Pawe? Marchewka, CEO of Techland. “Inventive free running mechanics also allow for nearly unrestricted exploration and weapon-crafting to further enhance the action survival experience."

Lord that Mock-up B is hideous, please don't look like that PS4, please!!!

Hey so, do you guys think Sony will be implementing a similar used games policy as Microsoft? They have been pretty vague about what their intentions are.

I feel a lot of people are upset by what Microsoft is planning and many of them are looking to Sony to see if the same policy will be brought about. I feel like right now gamers see Sony as the good guy and Microsoft as the bad guy. Since Sony focused on games and Microsoft on tv/features, I think Sony would be wise to retain that image. I think they should be completely upfront about the message "We are for core gamers first".

That being said, I'm kind of worried that Sony will go a similar route when it comes to used games. Not so much because Sony wants to piss anyone off, but because if the big publishers demand it, what can Sony really do? EA or whomever can say "You don't follow us on this one Sony and we will start favoring Microsoft more and more."

I'm just curious what you guys think.

if they do it'll still be cheaper than xbox one "no stupid subscription to play online", i'll still get a PS4 rather than have that kinect 2.0 always on crap.
