Raven722 said:H-Hour – “Innovation We Have, And It’s Not More Epic Kill Streaks,” Says SOF Creative Director

With H-Hour: World’s Elite, SOF Studios aims clear of today’s modern military shooter, hoping to deliver a more traditional gameplay experience that brings back the intensity of classic shooters like SOCOM. But in today’s gaming landscape, littered with over-the-top Hollywood action shooters, H-Hour’s philosophy can be a tough sell. As it so happens, selling is the exact situation the higher-ups at SOF currently find themselves in. Creative director David Sears documents the whole process in a recent blog update – an entertaining read. “We have already been reaching out to publishers and private investors to convince them to let us showcase our work for them. And when we do get our foot in the door, we have to prove that there is interest in the game, that the budget is valid, and that not only are we bringing back a classic gameplay style but innovating as well,” Sears writes. ‘Innovation’ sure is a word devs and publishers like to throw around these days, but in H-Hour’s case, it doesn’t mean more explosions. “Innovation. This happens with design such as the Analytics SergeantTM, extensive clan/community tools, and ludicrously customizable gameplay options,” Sears explains. “Innovation we have, and it’s not more epic kill streaks. Our innovations support a classic gameplay style that is grossly under represented these days. Balancing these two aspects of the game design and convincing publishers how sexy they are together is going to be a big part of our pitch.” SOF Studios hopes to move things forward in the coming months and, as we learned earlier, move production to Epic’s Unreal Engine 4. Speaking of things we’ve recently learned, MP1st’s James Lara has finally got the whole shoe tying thing nailed down, but also figured out that H-Hour is aiming for 8 vs. 8 matches. Keep your sights on MP1st for more on H-Hour: World’s Elite.

This. And Activison is smart realeasing these to games two months apart. Also, these games are very different, so one wont take sales from the other.

Wonder what would happen if, when he come backs, he compiled a response to every 3-tree post made since he'd been banned, all in the same post ;)

He would be banned for an alt ID.
Anything which starts with "When he comes back" with an alt always ends the same.
At any rate you know the drill by now. Don't discuss it here, or you'll be banned. PM Smeags or Axum with complaints or voice them in the official thread.
Just discussing the problem in your group PM isn't going to change anything, you know. If anything it could make it worse. If you've got issues just say rather than trying to hide it and pretend it'll all blow over, because let me assure you it will not.

Yeah but spoofing IP addresses is childs play, provided he never made mention of his old account, how would you know?
Didn't know he was perm banned though, so that kind of ruins the fun.

We have tools at our disposal (well, I don't ) which allows us to check for alt IDs, with good accuracy. And all the signs pointed to that being the case here. And pezus gave the game away as well on his wall, to solidify the decision as the correct one.
Again, read the previous post though for what to do and not to do here.

I'm not really excited about that, nor DLNA, not even SHAREfactory, simply because I won't use them. Or at least in very little quantities. What I'm waiting for personally is BluRay 3D support, I want that 1080p 3D, which PS3 could not provide with it's constrained HDMI bandwidth, not those are my only BluRay players. But no info on that :-/
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!
at first i really didnt think i would use the share feature much.. but im loving it now. i wanna make better videos so im stoked for sharefactory.
I am Torgo, I take care of the place while the master is away.
"Hes the clown that makes the dark side fun.. Torgo!"
Ha.. i won my bet, but i wasnt around to gloat because im on a better forum! See ya guys on Viz
Many expect further details on Final Fantasy XV at E3, but the newly renewed Xbox OneJapanese website has a quite interesting official description for the game, including a few more hints on the battle system:
Final Fantasy XV features a high action system unprecedented in the series. By taking advantage of the specs of next generation consoles, characters can move freely across the whole screen. In addition to that, the party battle system is now more advanced, allowing you to enjoy party battle by switching characters more strategically.
As the royal heir of Lucis who has the last crystal in the world, the main character Noctis and his friends will suddenly be involved in the war.
Interestingly enough the official PS4 page has a different description of the game’s mechanics, that complements pretty well the one on the Xbox website.
The battles featured in Final Fantasy XV have evolved greatly from the previous games of the series, as it’s created as an action game. The game switches seamlessly from the field to battle and the combat situation evolves rapidly. It goes on quickly with a sense of full realism.
Also, it’s possible to fight not only with the hero Noctis, but also to switch with other characters. Furthermore, it’s also possible to perform a combination attack with a companion while enjoying the dynamic effect.
Noctis can fight by making use of a variety of weapons and can move quickly within the areas by attacking enemies with stylish action!
You can fight monsters by cooperating with an ally. The ability to fight in collaboration with unique companions is an important feature of this game.
It’s actually quite interesting to see the two platforms getting different descriptions for the game, instead of the usual common blurbs. Of course this doesn’t mean the game will be different on Xbox One and PS4. It’s unlikely that there’ll be any difference besides something related to the unique features of both consoles (Kinect, DualShock 4 and Remote Play).
We’re left with one question: on which stage will Final Fantasy XV appear at E3? Sony or Microsoft? Maybe both? You can place your bets in the comments below.
