I "should" do it aswell...
Ok i get it that is an extra but: It is a nice idea but so badly executed...
Fans of classic JRPG may find a reason to hope for the return of one of the most relevant games in the genre: Sony Computer Entertainment registered the “Dark Chronicle” Trademark with the Japanese Patent Office, as discovered via Trademark Bot.
Here’s a translation of the trademark, that was filed on March 27th and has just been published:
[Trademark Number 2014-23437]
Trademark: [image]
Applicant (s): Sony Computer Entertainment
Filing Date: March 27, 2014
Nice Class: 9
For those that aren’t familiar with it, Dark Chronicle is the original title of Level 5′s beloved JRPG Dark Cloud 2, released for PS2 in 2002 (2003 in the west).
The trademark is indeed the same as the old one (as can be seen by the identical image), that was left to expire in July last year.
Now the question is if Sony will actually do something with it. A new registration almost a year after the trademark’s expiration seems to indicate a positive answer, but there’s no way to be sure for now.
Also!

I'm definitely expecting Sucker Punch to announce more DLC at E3.

I let my bitches talk back once in a while. Makes them think they have control.
I'm always open for more JRPG announcements. As long as it comes to Western audiences in a timely manner.
