Been reading NeoGAF and according to Demonite, who actually works for Sony, whatever Asmussen was working on it wasn't widely talked about internally. That's quite a condemning thing for an actual insider to be able to say about a game that was in development for almost half a decade.
Famousmortimer also made the comment that people outside of the dev team who got to see it don't think it's a shame the game is canned. Sounds to me like only the people working on the game were excited about it. The big surprise seems to be the number of people who were fired after the game was cancelled. Though it's sounding like many of them were temporaries anyways, there were some veterans who got axed in the process. My guess is that Santa Monica held them responsible for the state of the game and let them go.
Apparently there were three projects in the works internally. One by the team that worked on Ascension now minus Todd Papy, one by Cory Barlog, and the one by Stig Asmussen that got cancelled. It just simply sounds like the game was a mess and wasn't even ready after all that development time.
By the way Banana. Looks like I was right. Stig's game isn't releasing this year. LOL
Did i read that FF14 classes morph when you reach a certain level?

I wonder if Sony still has enough faith in Stig to give him another project or will they fire him as well. I wonder who is the creative lead in the Ascension team now.
Anyway seems like a couple years before we get an internally developed game from SSM. GoW 4 or reboot by Barlog in 2016 and I will jizz like a fountain!
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!

No. At level 30 you get a quest. Completing the quest gives you an item that you equip. This item gives you a "job". For example, Archers get the Bard job. With the Bard job they get extra abilities that help them perform a support role. The Arcanist can either get the Summoner job or Scholar job. Summoner makes them even more wicked damage dealers while the Scholar makes them more of a healer. Right now the Arcanist is the only class in the game that has a choice of two jobs.
Fixed a tiny miscalculation and added some more numbers out to the right.
Just imagine if they had launched world wide back in November with added stock. Just imagine.

Thanks, I was just reading about it on IGN. I seem i'll really like the game, I'm half tempted to go pick up the PC version for now... Stupid internet.
A little frustrated that Europe isn't getting the sales that are on at the moment.
