This must be an expensive deal for MS but for Madden in US and FIFA in Europe (an area where Ms can grow significantly with such an arrangement) this is worthwhile if true.   EA's other titles really aren't that big.

Eh, the article doesn't provide anything tangible as to what it could be. It could be some exclusive game that won't be on any other platform. It could be an timed exclusive deal for all titles released by EA for a certain period of time, or something else entirely.

It's all in the air right now. But if it's something like you mentioned, yeah, that'd be huge. But I don't really see how EA would profit for that, unless Microsoft really came out big with the wallet. Selling games to possibly half of a possible audience when the 2 consoles are rumored to be very similar and easy to port from one an other isn't really what I'd call a smart business decision.

hasn't M$ been doing that with games(the things that matter most) THIS WHOLE generation(7th)?

Sony have and still are grabbing exclusive DLC on multiplatform games.

I think what it is is Microsoft will be allowing Origin on live. In turn all EA games will have an early laucnh window 3-6 months and exlcusive DLC. On top of that all EA games will be available day 1 digitaly at a discounted price.
