$70? That would be...£60?

No way.

closer to £45, we are talking 70 usd arent we?

Yes, but Americans are already paying $60 whilst we pay £45, so I'd imagine that any price increase would up American and UK prices by the same (i.e. £10, a lot of Wii U games are going for £50 even).

So £55

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

That's crazy, they've got the PS4 at £400 as well (which is probably about right), but £70? No way will it be successful if true. £50 is already too much.

Well the PS3 launched at £425 if you remember, personally £300 is a sweet spot to launch a console (but it's just a placeholder price and I hope it goes down :)).

Yeah the cost of games is already insane, I barely make 3 purchases at full price as it is, I can't afford game prices to virtually double :(

No support for WiiU means I only buy stuff from others. Means BF4 may be the first one I don't own. :(

Though I do want NFS... at least its being advertised as a criterion game.

Just build a Gaming PC. Perfect combo with Wii U.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

$69.99 is very pricey... hmm, not sure how I feel about that, especially if games only have improved graphics.

Gets worse and worse.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

At $70 a game, now you can experience Australia without ever having to leave your country.

Missed the point. I don't want to support EA.

We pay 69.99€ here.... yea yea you read that right, that's 92$

That's actually more like, $74. The Euro to Dollar exchange rate is pretty much 1.

1.00 EUR = 1.305911 USD

69.99*1.305911 = 91.4$

ok? :)

edit: beaten to it, sorry about the quote.

i'm just glad the entire world doesn't have to pay the AU prices.

Derp...my bad.

Mistook it for the AUS$ to US$ exchange rate.
