hahahha holy shit :D you are funny. So let me get this straight...that's the size of your ultrabooks..screen? without the bottom half? LOL

Yeah I'm done here

You asked me to do it myself, then you whinge. You get what you ask for...

You did a horrible Job :) Ultrabook needs the bottom part to work! it's not just the keyboard down there ya know..surely you are smart enough to know that. If you think the thinnest tablet in the market is thick compared to your ultrabook, either you need new glasses or do a proper size comparison. Tablet works without the keyboard so stop the bitching and add the keyboard dimensions to it. OR did you actually compare just a useless screen to a complete tablet with your initial comment? Because if so you should be banned for trolling.

There is no accurate result for removing the Series 9 keyboard, of course, so why don't you do the opposite and add the keyboard dimensions to the Tablet Z instead? I can do it, but it's going to probably have the same outcome, which you wont believe...

Hey pal..you made the claim. I had hoped you didn't just pull out some magical figures out of your ass to do it..guess I was wrong...I thought it was a big enough fail to be comparing tablets to ultrabooks but you take it to another level

Okay, so you say we should compare ultrabooks to tablets, then say we shouldn't compare them with tablets?

make up your mind already.

Series 9 doesn't even have that good of a CPU ,  my laptop which is from 2011 has a i7 2.20 > 3.30 GHz  , and its not even a high end PC, and it is 2k cheaper than the "Premium" Series 9 Samsung

It also supports full HD resolution which is by today should be a standard, while the series 9 sports a 1600 x 900

I could go on and on , but in short, that laptop is overpriced, but Samsung knows whos buying and people who buy it are the Galaxy fans with no computer knowledge, they are acting like Apple.

You can compare them if you like, but you'll either have to discount the keyboard size for the Series 9 or add the keyboard size for the Tablet Z.

Series 9 Has a very decent CPU for its size. Of course it doesn't rival desktops and the like, that's just ridiculous, but compared to the ARM range, it's a completely different league altogether. By the way, my premium Series 9 costed $1300, so unless you got paid $700 for your computer upgrade, I'm not buying it.

The screen is really the only thing that can be criticised, and it was a matter of tossing up between the 1080 screen on the ASUS Zenbook, or the size/power factor of the Series 9.

Of course, this is an old ultrabook now, at least 6 months old, so there's probably even better around in the merket.

Me :  "  my laptop which is from 2011"

You : " Of course, this is an old ultrabook now, at least 6 months old,"

You : "Series 9 Has a very decent CPU for its size"

Me : "My laptop from 2011, and has a better CPU,  , the one on the S9 is very close to a smartphone one"
now I have no idea what you are getting at, at this point.
also , You bought yours for less than 1 K ? was it a discount? , because the ones that are less than 2k are not "Premium" models, and my phone has a better CPU than those crappy things.
by the way the Zenbook is a lot more powerful than the Series 9 , so i think you picked the wrong one for just a couple of milimeters thiner.

The series 9 has a Sandy brige which can burst to speeds of 3GHz when needed. Of course you should already know that GHz do not always measure performance. (After all, look at the Pentium 4s NetBurst technology, which was also around 3GHz).

I made a mistake earlier. The Series 9 is based in the Ivy Bridge architecture, not the Sandy Bridge. A laptop from 2011 is based either on the Sandy Bridge architecture or earlier. Best case scenario, Ivy Bridge boasts 16%-20% increase in performance when compared to Sandy Bridge.

By the way, I wouldn't go comparing Core i7s with the ARM architecture found in phones or tablets. As I said earlier, there is a major difference in performance.

The ASUS Zenbook used the same CPU (i7 @ 1.8GHz) as the Series 9 (i7 @ 1.9GHz), just a slight difference in clock speed.

the model I'm referring to is the 900X4C, and read what I said again, because I didn't say anywhere that I paid <$1k for it.

almost fell asleep :*D

Wonderful ad, another beautiful sony product, but I just don't see it doing well. Apple has too much of an iron grip on the tablet industry.

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

Looks awesome!
Just like the Xperia Z phone Water resistance is a cool feature. Nice!
Planning to get a tablet so this might be the tablet for me.

I already have 6 I-device ( apple ) so I don't want Ipad to be my 7th. I have been eyeing the galaxy tab for quite some time now so having more option is good.

I'll stick with my iPad, thanks anyway.

A great ad! I love both Apple and Sony products, but I don't have a tablet yet.
Looks like this the Xperia Z will be my first.
Has a release date been announced yet?

How thick is the keyboard attachment? You're only using the screen dimensions.

To top this off, the Tablet Z uses a low performance ARM, which is nowhere near the same league as the Core i7 Sandy Bridge.

That isn't "topping this off", it's called changing the subject.

I've answered the previous concerns, thank you.

Shouldn't you be concerned about the performance? It seemed at the PS4 unveiling that performance meant EVERYTHING to Sony fans...
