Google should work with Sony. The one underdog that has a chance to take down Samsung. Sony has probably released the most Android phones.

Can't wait for the Firefox OS Sony phones next year.

SONY is bringing FIREFOX OS to their PHONES????? really????

I wanted a firefox phone but... did not know if there are really good hardware developers on the boat. SO SONY???

WOW this just made my day!

It's suppose to be next year, I don't know what to do because i really want the xperia z  :/

What if Google decided that it no longer wants Samsung to be a partner? What would Samsung do in that situation?
Also, why aren't Google giving preference to their Nexus and Motorolla phones, and making them more attractive with new innovative and exclusive features?

they can't do that. They would get sued :D  also there is huge amount of profit that google is getting from Samsung

Same with samsung creating most of the iPhone stuff

....Is what everyone THINKS is happening.

What's really going on.

Sony is that little dot right now in the bottom right corner. Something has to change majorly if Sony wants people to buy their Smartphones.

(The Korean Wave isn't helping much for Sony. PSY pretty much helped all Korean companies advertise internationally.)

Some of us have been talking about this for a while.

And no mention in the article of Knox, Samsung's enterprise-targeted Android fork.

Y'know, when you copypasta an article like that, it's considered polite to at least include a link to the source. I wanted a look at those infographics.

The blame isn't on Samsung, it's on Sheeple. There are other Android devices that are comparable that people could buy but they aren't as popular. How do you fight popularity?

Or maybe people did their research and found the best product for their money, which just happened to be Samsung.

Does anyone seriously think a new OS is gonna stop android anytime soon (obviously new interruptions can happen, but its too soon in the cycle for that)?

If Samsung tried to replace android with their own OS I can easily see an massive shift away from Samsung phones toward other android phones.

Galaxy series are fantastic Android phones.  There are likely many that did exactly that.  But I guarantee you that the overwhelming majority of those that purchased them have done it only because of popularity.

For the record, I'm exactly the kind of shopper that you mentioned with just about everything.  But almost everyone that I talk to (not online) isn't and just buy either what's popular or whatever the salespeople direct them too.  Sheeple.
