Forums - Sony - BioShock Vita still not in development

Always be suspicious of someone announcing a game at a press conference without any details, game footage, or even a logo.

It usually means either the game hasn't even entered the planning stages, the developers haven't even been told to make it yet, or that it's unlikely to happen and was merely announced to get an additional applause line at a press conference.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

So late 2014 earliest? or more likely, never.

Seriously stop announcing games (in 2011!?) that haven't been agreed let alone started. It is ridiculous.

A Sony Fav.

Always loved that one.  All was shown was a title and yet it gets brought up all the time in peoples list of awesome games for the PS3.

But that's what playstations do best.  They are the hype machine.  For every good game that comes out 10 amazing games are hyped in the unforseeable future.

"Exaggeration is a blood relation to falsehood and nearly as blamable."

Even if your point is valid, when you overexaggerate it just makes you sound ridiculous.

This took half a second to find.  There are plenty of these going around right now. Now if you don't consider this an "exaggeration" then I don't know what is.

People are going ecstatic over lists like this saying how PS4 has the best support ever.  I'd like to see that list compared with games released by said companies in we'll be generous and say 2 years from now.

And back to my main exageration, lets see if Last Guardian, FFv13 or the Agent are even out by then as well.

Wow that is amazingly fast!  However, your implication was that for every good game from Sony, 10 games are hyped by Sony and then never come to fruition so I don't know why you're posting a giant list of companies that may or may not develop for the PS4.

Defending against my accusation would be posting a list of 1000 games that Sony said would come and haven't if I were to post a list of 100 good games that have.

Didn't say never come to fruition.  Said hyped with no release date in site.

Just look at say each of Sony's E3's and you can see that quite often games are shown with no release dates and more often than not the same game is shown the very next e3 with again no release date.

I'm tired of seeing people list reasons why you should get "x" console and that list including many games that are not yet released.  There have been too many games that have taken years longer than expected or after announcement that those lists are pointless.  How long did peopel have to wait for FF13?  How long did peole wait for GT5.  How long have people been waiting for the other games I listed above.  I'm just listing the top of the top hyped games.  There are others.

I mean... it's Rockstar North, and Sam Houser went on about how they'd wanted to make this game for so long and now they were finally able to do it, etc., etc. So while the pimping of non-existent exclusives can get pretty ridiculous, it's kind of hard to blame people for getting hyped for that one. It may, in fact, be this generation's finest piece of vaporware.

This is why you should never announce games before they've even started to be made.

Yea fans do that plenty for you already.  I mean look at Nintendo.  Without ever saying Zelda or Mario or even franchises that have been dead for 10+ years its fans still hype of the next upcoming game.  Nintendo has to do nothing.  It just sits on its info until its ready to be released that year or the soon enough to say what year it will come out at least.

I mean we know GTA5 was going to be made, we know GTA6 will be.  We know Gran Tourismo, we know FF15, we know ect.  There is no need to announce a game 5 years in advance.

I guess I'll just blame the PS3 for its lackluster start.  It needed to announce the kitchen sink in order to enitce consumers to buy the PS3.  My problem is that it seems to have continued that trend and is selling 'vaporware'
