Forums - Gaming - Ea finally gets it, "We Need Cell Processor"

http://www.ps3.net/newsboard/view.php?id=743

EA will develop different genres of games for each system, using each of their strengths.

"Something like Harry Potter is a very clear candidate to lead on the Wii," offered Florin.

"Shooters like Medal of Honor, Black, we will clearly concentrate on PlayStation 3 because we need Cell processor power."

"Then we've got more strategic, online-orientated games that we concentrate more on 360," he added.

EA Marketing speak for we're not commiting to one platform at the moment ...

EA's always been a multi-platform developer...if your point is that EA is finally going pro-PS3, then you're wrong because they've always been pro-money on all platforms.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

point is they understand Cells superiority and what games its best suiter for.  idiots at ubisoft have yet to figure it out.

lol, no they just realized what demographics are on each system.  Most of those games are gonna end up being multi-platform anyway.

You do realize that any comments Factor 5 makes about the PS3 will go through the PR filter twice in order to hype their games? One of the most honest and straight forward people in the videogame industry had this to say:

John Carmack said:

They are both powerful systems that are going to make excellent game platforms, but I have a bit of a preference for the 360’s symmetric CPU architecture and excellent development tools. The PS3 will have a bit more peak power, but it will be easier to exploit the available power on the 360. Our next major title is being focused towards simultaneous release on 360, PS3, and PC.

Lair is going to flop sales wise. You heard it here first.

show me a multiplatform game that show off ps3 is better version, then I'll believe.. not some exclusive game, dev always hype up their game to boost sales, especially when the ps3 is not selling well with a small install base.  Dev have to do everything in their power to help boost sales.
