I've been wanting to get into Persona for awhile now. I'd like to start out with the first games. Apparently Persona 2 is being released on PSN tomorrow as a PS1 classic. I know there is a PSP remake but I don't have a PSP or Vita so should I hold out until I do?
Well, there are two Persona 2s, and both were remade for PSP but only the first one was localized. In lieu of bringing over the second one, Atlus is just rereleasing the PS1 version.

The Persona 2 being released on the PSN is Eternal Punishment which is actually part 2 of 2 of Persona 2. Persona 2 remake on the PSP is Persona 2 Innocent Sin which is part 1 of 2 of Persona 2. I hoped that confused ya. But go buy a PSP 3000 to start playing the first three (not including Eternal Punishment).
