Let's give the Vita more time. CoD could have given the Vita more life, but it certainly isn't going to kill it quite yet

If Sony can get GTA, GT, a good CoD and some other decent games on it, then it can probably survive for a while, but Sony might have to splash some cash to get more games on the system in the short term

Ofcouce, I wasn't speaking about killing the vita. One game can't do that alone :p The question is if cod on vita might have damaged the vita, or it's franchise. An example can be that it put of a lot the buyers from handheld fps.

Around the Network

COD didnt hurt the vita psp did!!!! And it never will be a huge system because of that.Psp was the handheld version of sega saturn it left a bad taste in alot of peoples mouths that cant be fixed with one game.It was almost impossible to find games for it at a local walmart with maybe 4-5 titles available two being gta titles witch seem to be the only games that really sold well and all dropped in price to $20 real fast.If a big relater like walmart (and lets face it most shop there!) doesnt care to carry the library of games(there was almost a 10to1 deference with ds/psp games on shelfs) not to mention the fast drop of psp movies people will remember it as a system with little to no support. The 3ds has been out longer and yet there are still a shit ton of ds games on shelfs. And now to the vita the sega dreamcast of the handheld market(just not as good as the dreamcast(:) it has more games at launch and even more variety and better games, uncharted, and just like the dreamcast alot of fighters mk doa mvc3!!!!! But like the saturn, psp did little to make people want to dive in so like the dreamcast vita will not fair well.Already almost all of vitas games are slashed done in price most $20 like there already trying to get them off the shelfs,no one wants a console if in a few months you cant even walk into the store and buy a game from a large selection.Meanwhile 3ds still has launch titles at full price with little price cuts to be seen.No one wants to be stuck with a sinking ship!!!! No vitas are not going any where anytime soon like the dreamcast did because it has parent company sony to throw money at it just to keep it in the game case at your local store so down the road you can buy the 5 games they have:)

Ok this is something I've been meaning to bring up for the longest time.

Yes, Yes, without a doubt, god dang it yes.
Pretty much KILLED all chances of the Vita in the west (For now. We might see a good GTA to drive some sales)

The franchise whole? No.
The problem is that people are going to be like, "Oh that 1 handheld CoD game sucked ass. CoD only good on consoles hurr derr."

You pretty much summed up all my thoughts

As for the bolded part:

COD is a console game and probably will never take off on handhelds even with good scores and on bigger system 3ds!
