Forums - Gaming - So no one is talking about it but SuperDaE was right

I thought it strange people haven't been discussing this more.

We now know SuperDae was a hacker from Australia who managed to hack tons of people including Sony, Microsoft,  Blizzard,  Epic, and more.  He was the source for pretty much every leak reported and everyone was saying he was full of crap and lieing.  We now know that isn't true.

Why is no one talking about this?  Or did I just somehow miss it?

Heres a small part of the amazing article

Dylan wanted to know about next-gen systems, and somehow he learned plenty. He got development documentation for the next PlayStation and Xbox. Long before I'd sized him up as a hacker, he'd sent me troves of PDFs and white papers describing the functionality of both the code-named Orbis and Durango. The documentation was loaded with programming code—and with details.Earlier this week, Sony officially announced the PlayStation 4 (the former Orbis), and it turned out that everything in the documentation Dylan had sent me—the names of the controller's buttons, the specs of its new touchpad, the specs for the console itself—were entirely correct. Sony never commented to me about Dylan's supposed hack, but their PS4 press conference made a strong argument that what he said he'd done, he'd done. His info all checked out. What he learned and shared with me about Durango—its specs, the vast improvements to the new Kinect sensor, and other notable improvements over the 360—is richly detailed in the documents he found but likely won't be proven until Microsoft finally reveals its new machine in the next few months. The stuff in Dylan's Durango and Orbis documentation was meant for game-makers and other insiders. I read through it. I checked with sources who were in the industry and could verify if this material was real. It was. Dylan had found a way to get to it. Did he gain access through usernames and logins he grabbed from Epic? Or some other company? It's not clear.

Who was saying he was lying? And lying about what?

"they had an FBI agent with them. They took his computers. They took piles of papers. They took a souvenir cup that was shaped like a penis. He says they took his phone, froze his assets."

LOL!!! that made my day!!! not the penis shaped cup!!!

Sucks the company he loved so much (Microsoft) send the FBI after him and lost everything.

SuperDae has been leaking specs and info on Next gen consoles for months now on twitter.  He was a primary source of info for Kotaku, Digital Foundery, Edge, and tons of other media sources.

A lot of people were saying he was some troll who didnt know anything and was making up specs.  We now know he was 100% legit

Posted this a few days ago, people didn't care much, also SuperDaE's credibility depends on what he said according to some, he leaked previous Durango specs, which they found legit, but when he said they were "old" he was suddenly full of bullshit.

Well, the only thing we don't have specs on is the "new durango" that he said existed.

EDGE's final PS4 rumours were the correct ones, and they did not cite superdae as a source.

I know Im talking about before the PS4 reveal.  People were saying he was fake.  We now know he was right on everything hes ever said so why should we not believe the info he posted about the previously leaked specs for Durango being old?

He has litteraly been right on every single thing besides that.  Its just a super interesting story how a hacker found all of this info about the deepest secrets of the industry

Not sure what your point is?  He leaked the same info to Kotaku...

Its not a theory SuperDaE was real its now a fact.  Do you think the FBI raided him for fun?
