From what I can gather Sony won't back down; they're making a last stand. If this goes to shit it's all over, so they're banking on the PS4 to be a success. MS will have to pull something amazing out of their slevees if they wanna give SOny a run for their money...



As I see it MS totally outwitted sony this gen. They are in a way better position and made a ton of money. MS will be on par with them if the other rumors that actually hold wieght come true.

Yes, MS outwitted SOny totally this gen, and Nintendo outwitted them both. No question about that. And xbox will not be on par with PS4. Like I said, this is do or die for sony. They either win or the exit the market.

And I think you are just trolling. I seriously doubt a 3rd party developer (like you claimed your source to be) knows anything about MS first party offerings. Rare, Lionhead, Turn10, Black Tusk Studios, BigPark, GoodScience Studios all confirmed to be working on Xbox 720 games. 343 industries will release Halo 5 in 2014 or 2015, MS Victoria, Lift London, Twisted Pixel, MS Redmond etc. are all working on new games as well. Oh my f'ing god, really. Yea their going to show a old fat guy taking a shit as  their first game. Next will be larry going to walmart to get the best deals. Thats why they have been bulding all these studio's up. So they can sh-t garbage out non-stop. This gen for MS will be working on first party studio's. Look who they have been hiring.

All I'm saying is that the launch titles won't be that many. What happens a year from now I can't answer for.

Well lets make a bet since you seem so sure of yourself and your supposed inside source. If there are 13 or more Xbox 720 (or whatever they call it) games released during the system's launch period then you will buy me a Xbox 720 (or whatever they call it) which I will donate to someone in this forum.  If less than 13 games are released I will buy a PS4 for you to do with as you choose.  Time to put up or shut up and request the thread be locked.

I would love to take you up on that bet! But not even my source is 100% sure about these things; he's not working with any xbox games and is only telling me things he's heard from his colleges... I might take you up on that bet as soon as I can gather new information ;)

You'll see what I mean with "Sony does everything right": THIS is what I wanted Nintendo to do. And SOny was holding back specs so that MS wouldn't find out the true specs... Sony wants the most powerful console this gen.

I don't know if you're taking the piss or your source is taking the piss or you're right, but I'd say the chances of you being right are very small.

I don't see MS losing support overnight, they would have to fuck up too much, and I simply don't see what they could've done for that to happen.

My source is a 3rd party developer, and being such he has access to mails, documents and colleges.

Sony wants this to be a PS1 like console and have gone out of their way to please 3rd parties...

Microsoft will definitely have a harder battle this time. Sony is stronger than ever. While in financial trouble, they just seem to do everything right with the PS4. They built a powerful system, they have a whole bunch of First Party Studios delivering some of the best games on the market. And they did nothing like the cell so developers should also really enjoy to work with the system. So Microsoft will have to really impres with their new console. It's a whole new Battleground, Sony made many mistakes with the PS3 and played into Microsofts hands. That just won't happen again.

A big question mark is of course the price. If Sony can manage to sell the PS4 at 399 $, Microsoft could indeed be in trouble. It's going to be a really exciting year for every gamer, no matter what happens.
