I have a feeling that microsoft will cash out for the next gow. They need the few exclusives they can get.

one gears game can make around 240Millions if you count a PS and a PC version selling 4M combined.   So if they are planning on doing another trilogy....240M x 3 = 720M, do you really think M$ will pay 720 millions? No way in hell dude.  That is why there are opening some new studios to create new IPs.   It would be really dumb on their part to waste 720M for 3 games, when you can make like 15 or more games with that cash.

M$ got the exclusivity for the 360, because it was an unproven franchise, but now that it is a multi-million selling IP, there is no way in hell Epic will sell the exclusivity for cheap again,

Not going to happen. The Next XBox will keep its Gears of War, Forza and Halo series as exclusives. Likewise Sony will keep God of War series, Gran Turismo series and Uncharted series, etc.

you do realize that MS doesnt own the gears IP. but sony doesn own the GoW, gran turismo and uncharted IPs right?

sales2099  is correct gears race is run it's no Halo in that regard ,  if it happened around the time of gears 2 a big yes , it was on the rise then and would have been a huge asset , but with the trilogy finished it becomes a nice thing to have but not the  huge deal it would have been .

So now a new Ip would be a better proposition for Epic since they could have it on both consoles from the start , if it was to be Gears it would have to be a new series no judgement style rehash and bring something new to the table.

My honest opinion. If i wanted gears i would have a 360 right now. I owned a 360 for the fable franchise, seen it went to the shits and got rid. Sorry i just never was a halo fan. The hours i spent on Fable on the original xbox was silly. Even with that controller.

I have played gears 1 on pc, never finished the game. Watched a friend go through a bit of gears 2 and seen gameplay of 3 online. It just dont interest me.

If gears comes to PlayStaion then cool i hope they enjoy it, but i dont see myself purchasing a gears game unless they change. Looking at the sales them games dont need to change at all. Doing well as is from what i can see.
